  1. I was able to use the 11x multiplier with some tweaking the bios and setting the ram at Cas 3. But would still have some slight instability, failing Prime95 Belnd test after 8 hours and Memtest errors after 2-3 hours. Even though sometime it would pass 6 hours without a prolbem. I resolved the problem by buying some G.Skill 2GB DDR HZ PC4000 ram and have not had a single problem. Michael
  2. KAB2E seem to hit 2.8ghz on air no problem. I've had mine at 2.8ghz @1.4volts and 2.9ghz @1.52volts. Michael

  4. Hi there. If I set a 180 divider what is the correct divider the NF4 SLI-DR is it 12 or 13? I'm sure I read somewhere that the bios reports wrong and it is 13 not 12. Cpu-z says my ram is at 233hz, on a 11/12 divider. A64Info V.05 says it is at 215 and using a 11/13 divider? Bois says fsb/ram= 180:11/12. Which would give me the 233hz that cpu-z reads. Michael
  5. Well I past 8 hours of Prime95 custom, then failed,lol. I've never managed 2 hours or more with that custom setting. If I try 255 x [email protected] divider using Cas 2.0 or 2.5 I just get the re-boot loop. Same as 250hz, has to be Cas 3 or it won't boot to Windows. I'm really frustrated as I can't even buy some G-Skill as nowhere in the UK has any in stock. OCZ is too expensive here. I just want rid of this Corsair as it is problem after problem for nearly 15 months. I should have got rid of it long time ago. I had some Crucial Ballistic 2GB at one point that ran beautifully, no tweaking at all just slapped it in and no problem. But then all the horror stories began so I kept away from getting some for myself. But I'me very tempted to get me some right now. Michael
  6. Well my ram is even stranger than that. I can't even boot into windows with all settings at Optimised defualt. No matter what settings or voltages I have tried it won't work. How is that for strange. But it works at: 255 x 11 Ram/Fsb 180 Cas 03 1T 2.8volts but not at 200 x 11 Ram/Fsb 200 or 180 0r 166 Cas 2.5 or Cas 03, 1T or 2T @2.6 or 2.8volts. Won't boot into Windows on my Expert and won't boot on this SLI-DR at those settings. Michael
  7. Well I just ran Memtest for Windows for over 2 hours, 1500% coverage. That is the first time I have managed that long without errors. Using the timings in my post above. I will test for longer overnight but it is just my luck that now I seem to have Memtest running ok Prime95 will fail,lolol. The quicker the store near me gets some G-Skill back in stock the better because this is just painful trying to figure out. Michael
  8. Well the second stick fails at around 1000% coverage. I have noticed that if I touch the ram it is very hot, finger burning hot, even with the side off. I don't have any fans to blow on the ram so can't do that right now. My other temps are cpu 35, Pwmic 43 and Chipset 41. Michael Edit. I tested the second stick again and this time it lasted for 4000% coverage over 1 hour. Then I stopped the test. Seems a bit hit and miss, sometimes it passses sometimes it fails. I lowered the voltage to the ram from 2.9 to 2.8 on that run. Now off to test both sticks together.
  9. Thanks. I tried those settings few weeks back with no luck. But with the tweaks msmolt posted above I have just ran Memtest, 1 stick for a coverage of 6000% nearly 2 hours. It normally fails after 3000%.   10. Thanks for replies. Well the other thread to begin with was more of a query on Memtest for windows as I'd never used it before than anything else. The previous thread you refer to Praz was only when I used custom settings. All the default choices I have no problem with using Prime. Which was another strange thing. Why can I do 12+ hours using small/large or blend but if I set a custom amount of ram, around 80% of spare ram, it fails? Michael
  11. Well so far 1 stick will pass 6 hours of Memtest and the other stick has failed twice at around 3000% coverage. Look like borked ram? I will try those settings Farksy but in the past if I try Cas 2.5 or volts lower than 2.9 I can't even run at stock speeds. Only if I used a 10.5 divider for some reason could I even boot up the machine with these settings. Michael
  12. I ran Memtest86 all last night, I think it was about 30 full passes of all tests. I would not pay any attention to memtest failing in Windows if it wasn't for these randow re-boots I've been getting for about 1 week. All other stability/games was stable 12 + hours. Memtest for Windows fails after about 90 minutes mostly. Michael

  14. Thanks for that information. Well I just tried 200mhz, Ram/Fsb 1/1, [email protected] volts and Memtest still fails. I'm going to test the other stick on its own now as it might be that stick that is faulty. Michael P.S. are the timings you posted Trfc = Auto and Trfc 17-19 a choice of two to try or did you make a mistake with one of the letters?
