  1. hmm,, been stopping to tweak my system for while now since getting my sys running stable at 270x10. as soon as i up the fsb over 270.. answer is no go... would it be the ram which can't be oced ? or motherboard ? or cpu ?? hmm, but the cpu is known to hit 2.7 stable,, means should run at 300 x 9.. the ram just don't like it.. also, why is that super pi is faster at ddr400 with 2-2-2-6 settings than what i am running now ? i got 33 or 34 vs 29sec... don't have much time to tweak ..

    i have no problem running 275fsb for the ram, just not over 275.. fyi, i have no problems with my drives atm, coz i don't have sata drives.. but using ide to sata converters btw, regarding the ram, i can't get my corsair to go over 275.. not sure what problem that would be . not xp problem definitely coz i can't even pass memtest at 280... hmm.. seems like having bad sticks

    your "standard" means IDE ? i guess most of the sata ports need sata drivers to install windows, unless you not using sata drive. Correct me if i am wrong.

  5. sorry for late response..been busy.. well, does it affects much if turning off the bank interleave.. ? i got the cpu from someone, and it's know to hit 2.7GHz stable.. higher no go... while at the moment, i am running 10 x 270, memtest #5 more than 50 loops, no errors..as soon as i up the fsb to 280, nope... can only pass say 5 loops or so in memtest #5 since i am running 2.7Ghz stable, so i think it would be no problem to run say 290 x 9 = 2610 Mhz.. just that my ram don't go over 275... i have tried to switch to 2.5 3 3 7 @ 270, 2.9V, no go.. only stable at what i am running currently which is at 2.7v, 2.5 4 3 7. well, i will try to turn off the bank interleave and see how it goes.. thx for inputs ... will let you know how i go with the bank interleave off.. ====== another question, have you guys notice prime on intel and amd machine ? well, here is what i got when prime with intel Cel 2.4.. (can't remember) Tortune Test ran 6 hours or so.....(can't remember, but was more than 5 hours) Execution halted. the differences that i noticed is on my new A64, it takes like more than 5 hours if not mistaken to get the first test passed!! and also it has only "Test 1", unlike i prime on intel cel machine which have "Test 1, Test 2, Test 3, Test 4" then passed... is that a memory problem or ? i haven't got a chance to see what value is using on A64 machine..but if not mistaken, it's about the same "Test 1, 4000 Lucas-Lehmer iterations of M19922945 using 1024K FFT length." or the Mxxxxxxxx is diff... is it is cpu/ram/intel vs amd problem or ??? thx.
  6. yup, my vdimm always at 2.9v, and vcore up to 1.65... no go.. but now i am able to run 9x275 from the settings below.. Orion, need your help here,, or anyone who know about this... i can't run my 4400c25 over 275fsb 1:1 with the settings you have got.. i wish i could run at least 9 x 290 1T 1:1... below are my settings.. hope you can tell me what i should tweak to get 9 x 290 at least..   8. don't know what methods can be used to lock those knobs.. as it sits nicely on my p160 with blue lights.. hell yea it looks awesome together with blue fan at the back.. don't know how to attach some pics for those who interested to have a look haven't seen any voltage change on load for both +12v and +3.3v rails.. only on +5v rail .. will check again when got my system stable for 3dmarks..
  9. hope dfi staff will have this solution for us who interest in power on the machine using usb keyboard... i really like this feature, as my ps/2 kb works like a charm powering on the pc using a password..hahah .. unfortunately not with my new usb kb.. hate it.
  10. i should actually say "stock cooling frame on sli-dr board not compatible with p160wf removable tray" .. sorry for confusion.. I am not sure which version of the p160wf case you using.. there might be different version... i found two main diff version with the little button that is used to change the display angle... well, the sli-dr board can't fit properly on the trya. the plate that is used to hold the frame for amd stock cooling at the back of the sli-dr mobo is thick.. and on the tray in the middle, there are two little holes that might be used for diff mobo is actually touching the plate on sli-dr board, which means you can lay the mobo completely flat on the tray. Luckly i got a zalman cpu cooler where the plate is not as thick as the one from dfi board..so after change it, it sits nicely... the p160 is actually nice case, but the quality not 100% perfect.. however, it's for sure better than some cheap case a lot .. for mine, the lock not working when i first got the case where the little "lock" at the back is fitted the otherway around.. hmm.. finally get it work after manually change it. also hate the way to fit those optical drive on 5.25" bay.. hard to fit the fontx panel .. also, the original front panel have to be taken off to fit my optical drive.. otherwise, you have to take the optical drive's panel off in order to use original p160 front panel.. hmm.. they should just use the traditional screw method.. !!! hopefully someone is able to provide me solution for the wake on usb kb.. especially dfi staff in this forum..thx.

  12. well, when switch on the pc, i can see the ps/2 kb light flashing when booting up, but not the usb kb.. and i think there's no power to usb..coz the mouse has no light when pc is off... faulty mobo or ?
  13. i am using tc2 550 now for my oced 3200 at 10x275 @ 1.6 1:1 auto timings 2.9v, 3 hdd, 1 optical drive, 1 6600gt extreme at 585/1250, 1 tv tuner card, 3 x 120mm fan don't see any voltage change on +12v rail on load so far.. rock solid, +12 rail at 12.02 idle, 12.02 load ( when prime and pi, not sure if this is in load) as for the +5v rail, found that the voltage when i have adjusted to 5.02, will drop to 5.00 when idle, and up again to 5.02 when running prime.. this happen only sometimes... not sure why this happen tho.. any idea ?? on load, should the voltage drop or increase ??? if you looking for adjustable rail, tc2 is the one to go, except you might not like the knobs fitted on the 5.25" bay which is hell too easy for everyone to turn the knobs... even 3-year old kid can mess it up.. hehe..
  14. you can power on using usb kb/mouse ? well, i have connected both ps/2 and usb kb, when the pc is off, and i try to press on the num lock on both the kbs, no lights.. but pc can be turned on with the ps/2 kb, just not the usb.. i really don't know what the problem is. i tot there might be something to do with old cheap psu, but it's still the same with my new rock solid antec psu.. hmm...
