  1. This is the first time that i overclocked my system. I'm running at 2.4ghz with 267*9 and using a memory ratio of 200:150. Since my RAM are Kingston valueram i dont think they can be oveclocked and thats what limited me. Also i read somewhere that incresing the voltage of the cpu can damage it  , since there are spots in the cpu that are hotter than others. is this true? Have anyone overclocked avobe 2.4ghz but using the ValueRam at 200mhz?
  2. I got my A64 3000 to run at 2.4ghz. I used a HTT of 267Mhz however since my Ram are Kingston value Ram i didnt wanted to overclock them, so i set the memory ratio at 200:150 and i got the ram working at 200.1 Mhz. My problem is that when i go to Ntune (nvidia), it says that the Memory bus is running at "534.196(DDR)Mhz" Is that good? How can i calculate that? am i killing my cpu by doing that? PS: This is the first cpu that i have ever overclocked!
  3. The problem is not the video card position, Thats normal if you see 8x and 2x only. I did the same. I think i had the same problem but i dont quite remeber how i solve it. What happend if you let the pc to boot. can you post a picture of the message. maybe i will remenber that way
  4. Thanks for the fast response. This mod is so easy to do that i couldnt belive it until i did it.
  5. Can i just do the mod with the pencil and leave the chipset like that or should i use the CircuitWriter?? Is it really important to use the the CircuitWriter? I just did the SLI mod and it works but i dont know if its ok not to apply the CircuitWriter
  6. I replaced the stock chipset fan for the Vantec (CCB-A1C) chipset cooler, but when i go to the bios in PC Health the motherboard doesnt detects the chipset fan so the bios cant change the fan speed. And the temperature is not as good as people said; im getting 50c in idle! The fan runs but i would like the bios to control it. Is it normal that the bios doens't detects the Vantec chipset fan?
  7. I dont know if its normal that the fan chipset produce such annoying noise when it is working at full speed. But i just want it too work at fullspeed when it is complete necesary. At was teperature should i set the fan to work at full load? what is the max temperature that NF4 can work?
  8. Also look at this " http://www.memtest86.com/#problems " Known Problems "There have been numerous reports of errors in only tests 5 and 8 on Athlon systems. Often the memory works in a different system or the vendor insists that it is good. In these cases the memory is not necessarily bad but is not able to operate reliably at Athlon speeds. Sometimes more conservative memory timings on the motherboard will correct these errors. In other cases the only option is to replace the memory with better quality, higher speed memory. "

  10. I have the same problem. and it was the cpu. I changed it for another one. did you test it before the bios update? If you tested it before and you got no errors then is not the same as mine
  11. Im trying to configurate the fan speed of the chipset as it always makes an annoying noise when it is working at full speed. So i want to know when is recomended to use the fan at full speed. Im planning to set it a 60c but im not sure that it is safe for the chipset. Does anybody know at what temperature is good the set the fans to work os i can get a quiet fan chipset.
  12. I dont have the Venice core, but i have almost the same problems with my AMD3000+ 64 Winchester. I tested the memory with Memtest. and i got many errors. But the memory was good, so i took the cpu to the store where i got it. And we tested it in another Motherboard of the same model. And i got the same problems. The next thing we did was to change the cpu for another one of the same model, and the errors dissappered. So, there was something weird going on with the cpu, but i exchanged it for the other and now im happy with it.
