  1. well i got a cheap pci sound card and threw it in, and now it works fine i dont know what this means for the problem though
  2. everything is running cool. ive tried several driver versions and all do the same thing. its almost like the whole computer is running at double speed movies, progress sliders on music, and games all go turbo fast to match the sound, but if in uninnstall the "nvidia audio codec interface" then everything runs at normal speed again, but with no sound. i think ima go pick up a cheep sound card and see if it works with that, and if it doesnt then ittle be a bigger problem.
  3. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread...71339#post71339 im having a sound issue now check it out if you think you can help.
  4. I have a big problem. i just installed the new vid card (6600gt) and reformatted and reinstalled windows. Now all sound played through the comp is played at double speed. Even music, games, and system sounds are played at turbo speeds. Why could this be happening? if I install the audio part of the mobo then videos and games play at regular speed, but with no sound, so the sound part has to be causing it. I have tried all of the drivers i could find with no success. please help.
  5. just to let you know what i have tried with this vid card problem i have: -reseated -Tried diff power wire -raised and lowered AGP voltage in bios -put it 4x mode -2x mode - reset cmos - dowloaded drivers in windows - Requested RMA from newegg.

  7. well i got it to boot finnally i must have had the cpu in weird ( For the love of god what did he say?!?!?) i know it sounds bad, but i took it out, regreased it and put it all back together and it worked. I have tested it with a few cpu tester progs and its seems to run flawlessly at 2.02 GHz(stock) so i guess i didnt mess it up but now the problem seems to be with my saphire 9800 pro vid card, when i install it the comp still boots, but all i get is garbled colors and shapes on the screen. Im using a ghetto old pci vid card in it right now. Do you think its a bad vid card? what are some things i can try?
  8. im having this same problem, but with the 128 mb version, it works with another vid card just fine how do you flash the card without having windows installed?
  9. First id likle to say hello, as this is my first time to this forum. Now on to the issue.... I just got all of the things listed in my sig and installed them all into a thermaltake case with a 430W psu and all of the fans turn on and both mobo led's are lit, but the board doesnt beep, or put out a video signal. the hdd light on the case is lit all the time, as is the led for the cdrom drive. i dont think the hd is spinning. I tried putting in an old pci vid card and still nothing, tried booting with no ram, drives or vid card and still same result. please help!!!! im hoping it operator error.
