  1. http://www.pcper.com/article.php?aid=127 DFI NF4 SLI-DR 3-10 bios. Doc
  2. Arrrghhh.... Oh well, thanks for the help! Doc
  3. Ok, I set all of the temps to 25c and tried both the chipset fan and an 80mm fan and still no go. Any other ideas? Thanks! Doc
  4. I think I've tried that, in the bios, but I will do it again just to be sure. I really don't want to have to take this sucker out! Oh well. Thanks for the replies. Doc
  5. First off, what an awesome board! I followed Rgone's suggestions and have my system running at a smooth 280x9 1:1 with 2.5 3 7 3 timings. I have a problem with the chipset fan not working on the header. The fan itself works fine, only if I connect it to a lead off of the power supply. When it is connected to the mobo, it never kicks on. I have changed the settings in the bios to turn it on at 25 degrees, but after hours of operation and watching the temp go over 50 in Smart Guardian, it never starts to spin. I disconnected it and hooked up an 80mm fan to the header, and never got it to spin either. The other headers work just fine. Any suggestions? Doc
  6. I followed RGone's suggestions and am currently running at 280 fsb x9 multi. This gives me about 2.52ghz on a 3200+ Winchester. I run the timings at 2.5 3 7 3 and it is very stable. Same memory as you also. You can find his suggestions at this thread. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=5844 Doc
  7. I like the looks of that, although I'd be a little worried about not being able to use the pushpins and relying solely on thermal tape. Doc
  8. I've not had any experience with XFX, although I know they tend to be a little less expensive than some others. I would recommend BFG as they have a lifetime warranty and 24/7 support. The new OCZ memory is the Titanium series, and I was awaiting this as well as the timings for a 2gb pair is 2-3-2-5. http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage.asp?im...-110-103-07.jpg Doc
  9. As far as a good midrange card, I'd suggest a 6600GT for about $200 or so. For a little more, $279 from ATI I think, you can get the x800XL. Doc
  10. I put a Vantec Copper on my buddies NF3 and he has my old BFG 6800 GT and it fits with no problems. http://www.newegg.com/app/Showimage.asp?im...-110-103-07.jpg Doc
  11. I've not had any problems here either. It's my only HDD and it is on SATA 3. NCQ enabled. Doc

    Dead Northbridge Fan?

At idle, it is about 49C according to Smart Guardian. Doc

    Dead Northbridge Fan?

Well, tried that, still no fan. I guess I'm gonna have to take it apart. Doc

    Dead Northbridge Fan?

    Ok, I will check. Thanks.
  15. Hello, New to the forum, but I have a big question. When I start up the system, the NB fan barely moves and then stops altogether. I've looked and the video card is not touching the fan, and it seems to be able to spin freely with my finger tip. I've unplugged all fans from the mb headers but still no go. I've also tried to plug in a molex and floppy connector to the mb to see if it needed extra power. Still no go. Did I get a dead NB out of the box? I don't recall it ever working, although I don't think I noticed until recently. I've only had the system going for about a week now. Thanks! Doc
