  1. I'd prefer an eVGA, but any will do. I just want to add to my existing GS in my secondary rig for SLI and a bit more longevity. If you want trades, LMK what you want (I have a LOT of accessories and secondary hardware as extras). I do have references here and at OC, as well as ebay and some car audio boards, so fear not.

  2. Hmm, need some cheap PC2100 RAM for my new main rig :) 128mb, 2x128mb, 2x256, 2x512, basically anything, doesnt really matter or have to be high end, cheap is a must. pulls from DELL/Gateway/Compaq/HP etc are ok

I have some that I'll part with for cost of shipping. Let me dig it out and see exactly what I have, and I'll post back. It was some stuff collected from junked machines, and I cannot guarantee it works (I have no reason to believe it doesn't). Seems like they were mostly 128mb sticks. I'll get details in the morning when I get home from work.

  3. I'm really worried about the barbs/spacing between the cards. Search found me a couple of threads that mention special or modified fittings, but I cannot find any more info than that. I really want to "refresh" this rig and make it hold out for another 9-12 months, then go apeshit on a new one.

Awaiting e-mail from DD, EK, and PM from CPU Killer now.

BTW, Duckie, thanks for that bit of info.

  4. It was directed at the person that made this tread . I was just stating my opion. Its all good :)

Quote: don't really want to mess with voltages and especially not ram timings, since I just don't get that at all.

Oh, yeah. It makes sense now. I could only rememebr 2 good Corsair threads, both mine and Orion's, both stating that the stuff does work. BUT, it did take a bit of tweaking- as does nearly ALL RAM on this board. That's just the Diamond Flower way of doing things. If you don't wanna play with it, you should buy an ASUS.

  5. #1. Corsair has gotten a unjustafided Bad rap on this site. I have MPO on why but thats not the point.Corsair got this bad rap because the user did not do his own home work. And learned how to set up his or her owen Board and looked for the easy way out. And you was not going to get any help on this site for Corsair Ram.If you did your home work and knew what sticks had what chips. You had no problem with Corsair. Now There are only five types chips being used on 1 gig sticks. And all Five type of chips you can get 250 MHz out of them. So to answer your question YES them Corsair 1 gig stick WILL WORK JUST FINE ON any DFI board. Or maybe I should say I CAN MAKE ANY CORSAIR RAM WORK ON ANY DFI BOARD. there is a tread here on the street ( What memory are you useing on the NF4) And corsair is still holding secont place :eek2:And for the people that say I read or I hear Corsair dont do well on DFI Boards Is just that.THEY read or heard form someone that Didnt know what they was talking about eather.

#2 This is NOT a plug and play Board. If your not willing to do your home work. Then it might be a good idea to reconsider an alternate Board

IDK which user that was directed at, but I always stated that the XMS440025 worked great. That's even the ones Angry tested for his thread. I ran them daily at 317, but my CPU hated it. It's a shame I sold them when I bought my Opteron, it would've been nice to see how high 4x512 could've gone on a daily basis.

  6. Interested in the Kingston. Got heatware? You can upload pics to fileshack.com and they'll give you a link with a thumbnail you can add to your post (link is in VB code for the forums). It's free, too...

I have no heatware, but here's some pics. I think AG can at least vouch for my shipping/packaging.

    • 4x512 Corsair XMS440025C -2 of these are the ones AG tested. $125/pair Sold at OCForums
    • 2x512 Kingston HyperX 3200 BH-5 goodness $125/pair SOLD to t_ski
    • Swiftech/Corsair MCW6000- I think they're the same, but the Corsair has green hardware. $30
    • Swiftech mcw50- nice block, with hardware to mount on ANY card, including the new NV's. $30 Sold to RyderOCZ
    • Antec Sonata w/ modded 120mm on side. With PSU, $60, without, $30. Shipping will suck on this.
    • D-Link 614 $10

I'm only getting rid of these because they aren't being used for anything, and I hate to be wasteful. I'll have to accept only MO/Cashier's checks as I have no PayPal account. Just PM or e-mail me, and I'll send pics of anything if need be. My camera sucks, so to get a decent picture I have to use a huge resolution that forums don't want me to post. I'll likely be adding to this list as I go through all my things. I also have a buttload of car audio equipment if anyone is interested.

I now have a PayPal account if that helps anyone! It sure helped sell some memory.
