  1. Blackpearl, I have the pipes over the PWM side (opposit RAM) - Works great.
  2. They are PC3500s http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=85020-22 DFI Lanparty UT 250gb (BIOS 10/15) AMD64 3000+ (NC) (250x10) Kingston HyperX PC3500 512 x 2 MSI 9800 PRO Plextor SATA DVD/CD burner TDK CD/DVD burner Maxtor 160mb PATA 7200
  3. Lizard, I just bought 2 Kingston HyperX from Zipzoomfly for $200 which run at 1t. DFI Lanparty UT 250gb (BIOS 10/15) AMD64 3000+ (NC) (250x10) Kingston HyperX PC3500 512 x 2 MSI 9800 PRO Plextor SATA DVD/CD burner TDK CD/DVD burner Maxtor 160mb PATA 7200
  4. I am glad you see the humor in the name. I did it to be funny and get attention to my posts, that's all. The board has been very educational and fun. People have been good too. Thank you all. 5. Is it me or Samoa is sporting an attitude  . If he is not a noob then he should know how to flash BIOS, no? I take all this crap for my name but this guy gets nothing  .
  6. cyberfossil, Wouldn't that require taking the board out of the case? That may not work for all, it needs to be installed and fully calibrated for optimal performance no matter where it is .
  7. That's all you got - the video card does not pull out correctly . The board is one of the best I have ever used. I haven't used Chaitech but the DFI nf3 board is rock solid (after Bios update). I don't think you gave it a fair chance. 8. Will do THunDA. I will test and bench to find out what is a better. I guess I was looking for an easy answer but it looks like I will have to try multiple different combinations and test my system. That's understandable, I can do that. Thanks. 9. vega27, How do I tell if it's a BH5/BH6 memory? DFI Lanparty UT 250gb (BIOS 10/15) AMD64 3000+ (NC) (250x10) Kingston HyperX PC3500 512 x 2 MSI 9800 PRO Plextor SATA DVD/CD burner TDK CD/DVD burner Maxtor 160mb PATA 7200
  10. Thanks guys, i do appreciate it. I want to push higher but am affraid I may burn my RAM out (overheat). I need to push the ram to 277, if I drop my CPU multi to 9 & ram timing to 3. 277 is high and may run the risk of overheating my ram, correct? I just wanted some input and you confirmed what I need to do. Thanks again.
  11. Isamu77, I may be wrong but your ram is considered a "value ram", correct? If so, I say you are doing pretty good at 230. My old RAM was Geil Ultra Value which got up to 230 and nothing more. I am not an expert as I am still learing but my new purchase (Kingston PC3500) was well worth. What is your ratio? Maybe if you make to divider 9:10 or somethign lower. This will allow you to push your CPU higher while keeping your RAM low (I think). GL. 12. Isamu77, I noticed you have the same case as I do. Have you had any PSU related issues? I am affraid my PSU may giveup on me if I raise my voltage. DFI Lanparty UT 250gb (BIOS 10/15) AMD64 3000+ (NC) (250x10) Kingston HyperX PC3500 512 x 2 MSI 9800 PRO Plextor SATA DVD/CD burner TDK CD/DVD burner Maxtor 160mb PATA 7200
  13. Thus far I have been able to reach 250 x 10. See attachement. DFI Lanparty UT 250gb (BIOS 10/15) AMD64 3000+ (NC) (250x10) Kingston HyperX PC3500 512 x 2 MSI 9800 PRO Plextor SATA DVD/CD burner TDK CD/DVD burner Maxtor 160mb PATA 7200
  14. Well, I think this is correct but I am not sure if I can or should push my system even higher. I have my AMD64 3000 set to 250 x 10 (running stable under all stress tests). I may be able to loosen my memory timing but am I giving up performance? Here is what I want to do but need some feedback/suggestion. - I can loosen my memory from 2.5 to 3 & 1T to 2T and see how high the memory can go. How much of a performance am I giving up? - I can also check to see how high the HTT can go with a lower multiplier but is it worth it and how hot will the memory run? Is this putting the memory under very high stress? - Overall is this a good OC? Any reccomendations are appreciated. This is very new territory for me so excuse my stupid questions.
