  1. out of stock unfortunately here is the 2.5 cas variant (in stock) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820231046 recommend that?
  2. Any suggestions for a cheap 1gb dimm? 2-2.5CL, around 200mhz-230mhz (aka pc3200)? If it works with the winbond bh6 I have that's a plus. If my sig still works you should be able to see my system but it's a 250 NF3 with a sempron. Is there anything decent around $75?... after all this is just plain old DDR. I think a little ram could keep this system competitive for at least another year.
  3. ive been using speedfan for two years now, it's one of my favorite programs.
  4. dunno ... that brings up this question, why the hell is this thread here? this has not been a poll since the second page of this thread when the project to fold for was being decided on. it should be under AMD overclocking as a sticky to give the junkies something to waste their cycles on.
  5. my guess is it's probably a bios error. also, if you are looking for a more sophisticated (software) temp and fan monitor I suggest speedfan.
  6. i stopped counting at 30k errors at ddr400. i could keep it but those memory errors arent a joke. one day you are doing something important and then BOOM the system crashes because the memory error was uncovered. right now i'm running it at ddr333.
  7. I make gaming films and machinima and review other people's work as well. I personally use Premiere pro, although Sony Vegas is just as popular. For macintosh, Final Cut is popular. For $150 there isn't many legal ways to obtain this software. All you have is windows movie maker, and some other freeware editors such as videomach and virtualdub.
  8. Eh, last week I bought a stick of bh-5 off a trade forum to match my other stick which is bh-6. It can't pass rated ddr 3200 at stock speeds, and I need to know if its something I did wrong or if it's the module. The first thing I did was boot it up alone at stock speeds and 2.6v. So far it can pass memtest (test 5's) at 166mhz at stock CAS (2-3-3-6) and 2.8v. But this stick can't even pass 200mhz at stock CAS with 2.8, 2.9, or 3.0v. I really have no explanation except that this module is defective. It errors out at the end of the test 5 @ 99% which usually means 'use more voltage'. But when it can't pass stock at 3.0v, something is definately wrong here. I have used OCZ Gold series ram on my rig before (which is BH-5) so this is not a compatability problem. This board DFI-NF3 250gb works great with this kind of ram. Should I try another bios? Using 5/4 modified by jess to 4.0v. I also thought maybe memtest built-in was bugged, so I tried testing it using a CD ROM iso (and still fails). Time tell this seller he's full of crap or what?
  9. simple. run the FAH console program (clean install) the first option is "Do you wish to install this program as a service" type yes to that! and you're done. to control the program while it's in service mode, you can use my method i tried to explain here: http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showpost.p...1&postcount=566 basically using batch files to control the service
  10. did kccustom quit? we have like 1000+ less pts less a day now http://folding.extremeoverclocking.com/use...php?s=&u=149506 Last 7 Weeks Production Week Points WUs 12.18.05 217 2 12.11.05 390 3 12.04.05 92 2 11.27.05 784 15 11.20.05 2,726 24 11.13.05 13,763 74 11.06.05 11,801 43 10.30.05 12,654 51 if this is old news im sorry. this thread is huge.
  11. i don't know what that error is sorry. when I have a WU that fails, delete the entire "/work" folder which wipes the current WU and starts clean. however since you have tried twice now i should refer you here: http://forum.folding-community.org/viewforum.php?f=10 there are experts and staff there
