    TCCD Information

TCCD is awasome stuff but IC's do not come in large enough sizes to make 1GB sticks unfortunately. My TCCD runs 238 fsb 11-2-2-2-2 2T in my NF2. or 250 11-3-3-3-2.5

    OCZ Titanium DDR PC-3200 (400) 2X1 GB

Did you see these at new egg? $195 after rebate. Platinum pc3200 (2x1GB) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820227210
  3. Thanks for the info MedianOCer. I've been searching for days and can't find one single NF2 running 2 GB. I may just hold off on the 2GB. Umm? i may get another 512 tccd and run three sticks in single channel. TCCD is awasome stuff but IC's do not come in large enough sizes to make 1GB sticks unfortunately. Steve-o didn't say what the 8-3-3-3 was.
  4. Steve-0 at OCZ e-mailed me back and said the 2GB that run 2-3-2-5 are Infineon CE-5 based sticks. He suggested the memory below. yucky cl3 3-3-3-8. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820146970
  5. Wow nobody is running 2 GB's of memory on there NF2?

LP NF2B -- Thinking of Upgrading My CPU

As far as i know the 2600 mobile is the fastest cpu for your boad. Most people get 2500Mhz to 2600Mhz. However thats just a small jump from your current 2400 mobile. You may want to consider a 64 bit cpu and NF4 combo.
  7. I think i'm going to sell my GB of ram so i can get a 2 gig kit. If your running two GB's please post any info you have, timings, fsb ect. I'm looking at these if someone can confirm they will work. 2-3-2-5 timings OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM Unbuffered DDR 400 (PC 3200) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?...N82E16820227210 These are nice too but cas latency 3. NFII Lanparty Overclock gone wrong

#4 Have you also used the oc jumper near the northbridge? Longshot pull and reseat the video card too.
  9. I think all AMD mobile owners have asked that question. How fast is this cpu? Well here are my benchmarks from a year ago. AMD 2600 mobile @ 2600 MHz 466 fsb Sandra cpu multi media 23588-25212 Arthimetic 9499-3939 AquaMark3 cpu 8800 PcPitstop cpu 758 P4 2.6 canterwood @ 3.25 GHz 1000 fsb Sandra cpu multi media 24997-35613 Arthimetic 10176-3931 AquaMark3 cpu 9715 PcPitstop cpu 574 Simultaneous multi-threading is the ability of a single physical processor to simultaneously dispatch instructions from more than one hardware thread context. With SMT, Simultaneous Multi Threading, and SMP, Symmetric Multi Processing, we have two ways of going beyond the limitations of a conventional single-threaded processor. SMP is simply the addition of another single-threaded processor and results in a configuration being able to execute two threads simultaneously; SMT is the presence of another logical processor within the same physical processor and again the ability to execute two threads simultaneously.
  10. I play BF2 and Vietnam a lot so i wanted more memory.
  11. Well from what you guys are saying it sounds like i should just buy two inexpensive SATA 7200 rpm drives.
  12. so do you guys think i would be better staying with 1 gig or 3x512 in single channel mode?
  13. I have 2x512 OCZ EL Platinum Rev2 and so does a friend of mine. If my buddy and i split another pack can i run all three 512 sticks in dual channel? If so can i assume i can still run @ 500fsb? Someone told me that if i wanted to use dimm 2 i would need a gig stick. That way dimm 1 & 3 use a gig and dimm 2 use a gig for dual channel.
  14. Loggan26 i just read this off your FAQ post. So if i buy 10,000 RPM raptors raid 0 and use the onboard sil3114 will they be fast? Can you recommend a pci-sata card that doesn't cost too much? Sata: I am going to mention this as I think it is pertinent, the Sil3114 controller is well known to be a lot slower than the Sil3112 controller found on the Abit NF7….IF you expect your Sata HDD to fly on the ”Sistas” then DON’T, they do not and nothing short of buying a PCI SATA card is going to make them otherwise. Even my PCI PATA card and PATA HDD fly faster than a Sata setup on 3114….Off course this is all benchmark related and in real world terms maybe different for yourself, for me though it hasn’t really been worth migrating from PATA Hdd’s to Sata Hdd’s because of this ”slow down” on the ”Sista’s” There is some interesting reading across at PCPerspective forums on this phenomenon if you wish to peruse it at your own leisure. All in all the slow down can be attributed to the fact that the 3114 controller is integrated through the 266MB’s PciBus.
  15. Thanks Shinobi and everyone else. I'll buy some SATA raptor drives now.
