  1. Has anyone ever tried the Zalman ZM80A-HP VGA Heatpipe Cooler on Radeon 9700 with a fan next to it? I read off somewhere that the temperatures are amazing ( like 27*C compared to 47*C without a fan). If any1 has this kind of setup please tell me how much you are able to overclock your card.
  2. off topic kinda, but if you wanna buy the volcano 9 or 11 consider the new coolermaster heatsinks, The X-dream and X-Dream SE. they are about the prices of the 9 and 11 but perform a lot better from what ive seen.
  3. well at OCsystem.com they have their radeon 9700 pro clocked at 415/730 ... and thats with a passive heatsink.
  4. you could get UV paint from xoxide.com, its like 15$ a can and i dont know how well it works, but if u want it i guess its worth a shot
  5. First of all, that site has very very bad english so i have no idea what they are talking about, second i dont want radeon 9700 because i think its the best, i just like the performance price ratio.
  6. Ok, so im hearing that radeon 9500 pro has been locked so you cant overclock it. I was wondering if the radeon 9700 and 9700 pro have also been locked by ati. I know theres a way to unlock the radeon 9500 pro but im way too stupid/lazy to do it. Im planning to buy a radeon 9700 as my next video card so... what you guys say will effect my future computer gaming .
  7. forget the Volcano 7 go to www.buyxg.com and get volcano 9 for 17$ i think the shipping is free.
  8. Ok, i was thinking about using a 80mm to 120mm fan adapter on a volcano 9 and using a 130cfm ystech fan in place of the 75cfm smartfan II, does anyone know if this or work or would the 80mm hole just restrict the 120mm fan?
  9. Exactly what do you mean by huge, do you mean heat pipe huge or stuff that comes on Gainward Geforce4 ti4400 golden sample (which i was i plan to get )
  10. Ok, well, i got this crazy idea and i don't know if itll work or not. Anyways i was looking through articles online about this product that is suppose to cool your video card off buy sucking air away from it by mounting on the back of your card. This gave me an idea. What if instead of blowing air away, additional air was blown into the already used fan on the VPU. Im not talking about like 10 cmf of air. Lets say like 50 cfm of air. This is what i plan. Allow room by using 2 pci slots. ok put a modem or something into the 2nd slot and put a fan on top of that (im thinking smartfan or something) and use adhesive pads to mount it on the card. The fan should cover alot of the 1st slot and blow air to the agp card. How do you people think this will work? I'd try it myself but im a poor bastard and if any of u guys could give me feedback thatd be cool.
