  1. Its "Venice" man, VENICE! (like the place in italy!)
  2. Halves on the A64 are funky. I wouldn't suggest them
  3. Its here  Along with some more ram... However, I doubt its TCC5, so it may hamper the overclock  Ahwell. 2x 512mb > 1x 512 no matter the speed..
  4. Were those E4 or E6? I think mine was a KACIE (I knew for a while but after 2 days I forgot! ) E6. Typing this from 3ghz right now.. It won't prime or superpi, but it has run stably for me for a few hours without crashing, so its just borderline unstable. Little voltage'll cure that right up As for cold bug, we'll find out when I get my hands on some ice and salt...
  5. STOCK! The CPU-z is indeed correct! Its 1:40 and I'm tired. I'll finish up tomorrow.
  6. Yes, yes, and I'm better than ever. Can you say 2800mhz stock vcore? Not even breaking a sweat here people.
  7. Rbbermaid jar from wal-mart.. $1.88 Also, why did noone tell me ITE is way off in temps? 18c!
  8. Yeah, I have another stick of ram to put me up to 1gb, and an extra little suprise on its way I was trying to avoid them as much as possible- but the size of this radiator prohibits that greatly. Then again, temperatures arent exactly the weak point with this either More flow isnt going to help much if at all right now. Need to oc cpu more! EDIT: D'oh! sorry! havent been here forever, and I'm used to being able to post bigger than 800x600!
  9. Well, having finished highschool, I'm now working an IT job on the weekends, leaving me a lot of free time... and a bit more money than most teens have just out of highschool. So, I rebuilt my Ultra-D system. (yes, I'll be updating my sig asap!) I also got to setup my first go at some decent cooling- WATER! Doing a very mild overclock right now only 10HTT, to give me +100mhz. However, I have a few suprises coming via UPS :tooth: I was having a severe problem with the chipset a while ago, giving me well over 50C temp readings, giving me the alarm and being unstable. Added some arctic ceramique, and DANG look at that! the fan sucks no more!
  10. Problem isnt finding the free version.. as thats widespread.. problem will be future databases i.e. new components.
  11. theres probably a jumper to enable the speaker like the NF4... switched the jumper and my computer began to beep like normal... it was off, default.
  12. in the day. Hell, I paid $40 for my 1700+ when they were prime for oc'ing and got it to 1800mhz on a $30 mobo using a $20 PSU. God I miss those days
  13. That right there is the exact idea that is killing overclocking, and causing these insane prices. Overclocking has gone from the idea of buying a cheap $40 AXP 1700+, and $50 mobo and getting >2ghz, to buying $400 CPU's to get an extra 500mhz. Its just nuts. I bought a DFI NF4 for the 1.) SLI mod and 2.) bios/overclocking. 3.) Colors Not because its "highend". If it didnt have the extra pci-e slot, I really doubt I woulda got the DFI. I would probably be sitting here on an Abit. I would never, and have never bought "High end" stuff, frankly, because the lower end stuff performs very close and saves a lot of money that could be much better used for doing something with my girlfriend, or having fun. Tell me, if you had a choice between $200, and a 2.6ghz CPU Vs just a 2.8ghz cpu, which would you take? Most sane people would take the $200.... and these days, it really is getting to that point. That used to actually be an exaggeration :eek2:
  14. imo instead of a forced "A list", you should force users to use a little bit of thought going into looking for something other than a crap excuse for a PSU, rather than freaking out.. This country lacks people willing and able to think about the simplest things, wanting it all done for them. Little work goes a long way... granted, a list of excellent PSU's ios always great, but these days, every other post is like someone just starting to build a new pc (which ofcourse is never a bad thing), but some people just expect to jump in, have everything done for them..... and are completely unwilling to... think maybe thats why I cant handle a tech support job.. too many retards... Engineering here I come :tooth: In reality, a true and I stress true 350->500w should handle PC's extremely well...
  15. AS I TOLD YOU BEFORE YOU DO NOT TELL USERS HERE THAT YOU CAN GET BY WITH A POWER SUPPLY THAT DOES NOT MEET MINIMUM SPECS. PERIOD. IF I CATCH ANYONE DOING IT IN THE FUTURE, IT WILL BE AN INSTANT BAN. END OF STORY. IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
  16. ive got an issue where they reviewed 1.0... and gave it a failing review... it totally bombed and theres an ad on the page right next to it :shake:
  17. wish I was in the bay area... there isn't squat for decent pc related jobs round here unless i go to best buy :eek2:
  18. all that... and no definition? not even a mention of what HAL means? Geez.
  19. Some reviewers are dumb, some are quite knowledgable.. I'm trying not to be the dumb reviewer that can't do anything right :shake: Listen to da man! Aww. My 350w antec is still rockin  I only reccomend the mod to people as a last resort
  20. 2 years of research doesnt = experience I had been on forums for about 2 years before I built my complete first system from scratch (I was 12..) and research is deinfatly far from being experience. Its kinda like reading the rules to driving, but never actually trying it, and taking your driving test
  21. Check out the apple LCD's and CRT's... They rock... Just got a free 17" apple CRT and it does 1600x1200 120hz and the colors are tons better than my old 17" which I now have demoted down to secondary monitor.
