  1. Yeah, same issues with mine. I just ordered myself a stacker. The 1000 plus is still too tiny for my tastes.
  2. you could even video tape it so your board could show it to all its friends
  3. Yeah, Suse has a live eval cd also, I think most of the major builds have them.
  4. @Angry = Very true. You can get all of your proteins from a correct diet. Other animals do! @Ocean Seas = That is why when I do get vegetables, fruit ect, I get organically raised hand picked items from local farmers, or go hydro. Kinda takes that link right on out!
  5. I have used and installed Suse, Free BSD, Net BSD, Gentoo, Lycoris,Debian, and Fedora core, and Mandrake and Yellow dog on my PPC machines. Suse seemed to be the easiest for me to install, its all graphical. So is Lycoris. Simple and worked. There are some good pay alternatives, like linspire, I hear it is excellent and CHEAP for an OS. Stay away from Gentoo and Debian if you dont like a command line and a compile on your install. Stay far far away from any BSD (unless you are using os x on a mac) they can be intimidating. ps-for free downloads check this place out http://linuxiso.org/
  6. I just ordered this one for my setup. Zalman Fan Controller Why? I like tha Z man's stuff. And have been cautioned against cheaper controllers.
  7. Meh, they are pushing their core WAY over the top. All the reviews I have seen point to them using some fairly hardcore cycles for the shaders, and some new thing for soft shadows. Too bad they are not working off of an agreed upon standard in their shadow rendering. Personally, I will just plop another 7800gt into my system and be happy running all my games on full settings.
  8. Really I would say this all depends on how you have everything set up. Got alot of active cooling in your case? I personally did not mess with any voltage out of the box, just when I wanted to OC. If yah want check out the database and you can get an idea of what other people are running. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10195 on their ocs. Of course if you are running stock, do just that. Leave it at stock. Only thing your memoy may require more than what its given. I set mine to 2.7* and it works great around this voltage up to about 2.8. But, we have different memory. I personally found that leaving the Vid control at 1.4 and messing with the special worked well for me while overclocking.
  9. Call them and they can help you. As is my understanding you should not have a problem if you did not change your hw.
  10. Just don't do what I did and get a tiny case! lol, I made the mistake of getting a case that I had to cram everything into. I totally should of taken AGs advice and gotten the stacker right from the get go. Although now I have a box to build a media pc in. BUT, anyways. Danger Den man. Thats all I have to say. They rock and have some of the best performance out there.
  11. Yeah, totally get the evercool. It works great IMO, dropped my idle and load by a ton. I personally get ALL of my WC supplies from Danger Den. And I use Fluid XP. The TDX block is rockin', have not yet put an extra loop in my system to do up my GPU. Although I have a stacker on its way plus an additional rad, and I just may end up doing it.

  13. But, running that (excuse the term) riced out 4cyl is gonna blow its top long before the v8 will, pulling the same HP and beating times just as well. How many bolt on parts and such does the 4cyl need? Ask any street racer. Those hyped up 4cyl will burn out and need their valves adjusted and their ports polished LONG before that V8 will.
  14. True. I had big issues with my board setting voltage and SPDs right on it. I would still think that running a full memtest on each individual stick of memory on this board may be a good thing. Sorry if you already did this, but, I did not see it mentioned.
  15. I had just the oppisite experience as you. The only bios I have had luck with is the newest official release. With it I can boot with 255x11 but that pushin 1.65 volts. At 1.57 I am primin' 260x10. With the other ones I had some oc issues.
  16. I am actually looking to build a cheap MPC around a skt754 and a DFI K8T800PRO-ALF Socket 754 VIA K8T800 Pro mobo. I assume this mobo would be me eh'?
  17. Yeah, just with TVP and no ground beef. At least that is what we call 'em.
  18. Speaking of Tofu. Momma, have you every used TVP? It makes a great sloppy steve and wonderful in spagetti!
  19. Yeah no doubt huh ? This is deff a step up from Pong when I was a kid. Elder Scrolls is gonna be impressive. I can not fuggin' wait!!
