  1. Note that he's in Malaysia and you're in the USA, huge difference when it comes to shipping time Who told you refurb? That's a new one to me.
  2. If you have no idea what you're talking about, please don't say anything. Their VS memory is made completely differently than their XMS memory. In fact if I recall correctly, it's impossible for their XMS memory to be turned into their VS memory!
  3. Yeah, call them, see if they've got a tracking #. The shipping company could have messed up ya know, or one could be delayed by a day or 2.
  4. http://www.houseofhelp.com/v2/showthread.php?t=44365 Just re-scanned the list, there's some promos and 1 or 2 Infineons on the 4.x list as well, so my quote isn't entirely accurate anymore.
  5. You're not looking hard enough. That's like saying 1 washington apple is better than another because it's bigger, when they're both good apples, one just exceeded your expectations. We always want to assume the apple's going to be a bit jucier than the average apple. We're all special and deserve better than the average (/end psych rant from crazy geek, no more posting while watching Criminal Minds!). There's more factors to look into. In apples, it's the field, food, sun, etc. In memory, it's the IC used and the PCB (assuming the rest of the system isn't a limiting factor). Silicon yield is another factor, albeit either you'd have to do a LOT of surveys, or be a bad butt electrical engineer with a TON of expensive equipment to make that a real factor to even bother really thinking about. You need to look at the part #, version #, and lot #. Posting that over @ the IC Inquiry thread @ the Corsair forum in the House of Help (LINK) will tell you the IC, which will give you a much better idea of why one OCs better than another. Of course there's always the X factor (dumb luck, bad silicon, etc).
  6. SzZzNaKe, what was the exact part # of the modules?
  7. Nice OC! May want to bump up the memory voltage a tad (don't go over 2.90 volts) and see if it can get any higher.
  8. The SPD is set to 3-3-3-8 by Corsair. They're rated @ 2.5-3-3-6 for XP setups, 2.0-3-3-6 for Athlon64 / Intel setups.
  9. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31464 Please don't double post. Yes, they should work together, but you probably won't be able to sustain that high overclock, as the memory controller has to do more work when using 4 sticks. Also, depending on what version core you have, at standard settings it may drop the speed from 200 to 166.
  10. Just found out about this site: http://www.widescreengamingforum.com/ Lots of info about Widescreen gaming.
