Nice, I like the blue window on your wavemaster, it looks really good bolted on the outside like that. and the tsunami doesn't look that bad(good decision on gettin the non window version, while I'm stuck with a window with a giant thermaltake logo) What case do you like more the wavemaster or the tsunami?
  2. Yea i would think the carbon fiber and a silver case would kind of look wierd. I think the brushed chrome would look the best out of the other films. Yea I'm definitly gonna do that. I think it would look good if you had a black case and you did all the drive cages. I bet it was a pain to apply that stuff, you know with the bubbles and making it conform to that indentation in the middle. Is that film easy to take off without any residue?
  3. Good idea reelfiles i cant believe i didnt think about that. Is ther anything else i could do to make it better(besides keep the walpaper general) I was thinking about cutting the stock rear fan guard and also cutting a few holes in the mobo tray for wm, besides that i got nuthin.

The only things originial in my pc is my hard drive and my dvd drive, everything else got upgraded over the course of a year and a half.
  5. What kind of heatsinks are you using for you vid card,cpu, and chipset? Your cpu load is actually pretty good, just remember to keep it bellow 50 and you'll be fine. Your gpu is a little high but not in the danger zone(but if you want to oc more you might have to get a better cooler IMO) your PWMIC and chipset temps are ok but a little high, they can handle higher temps and still be functional. Also what are you idle temps?

  7. The only difference i can see is that it comes with a cable sleeving kit a frontx? thingy which seems to go in a floppy bay a lanparty sticker and a few extra cables. these are the only extras i can see with pics at newegg and at the dfi site.
  8. I heard about this at anandtech a while ago. i read that this quad core cpu will use HyperTransport 3.0 where the fsb isnt fixed like it is now. HTT Depending on the clock speed of the cpu the fsb will run between 50% and 150% faster. So thier quad core 3.5GHz chip's bus speed will run at 2600MHz. Current amd cpus run at 1000Mhz. The 2.0GHz quad core will run at 1500MHz.
  9. What i did to get my 3GHz 3700 sandie i went on ebay and looked around for a week or so for a good stepping (KACAE,KAB3E,KAB2E,KABNE,KABYE,KABQE), and when i saw one one i jumped on it. You can do the same for 3700, 4000, or an opti 165 or 170. You would just have to do some research for good steppings and hope for the best.
  10. First, did you wash out your rad with viniger and water for several cycles? This will clean out any debris in your rad. I you already did that then get towels, an extra power supply a paperclip. you take the paperclip and conect the green and the black wire in your ps, and that should power anything connected to the ps(pump). then run it for 24 hrs and watch for leaks. ( I could be wrong about the paperclip trick but I'm sure a wc'ing guru will clarify if I'm wrong )
  11. Well you can tell him about the naming system of Athlon 64's cause that explaines you exact situation. The reason AMD calls thier cpus 3200 or 4000 is because a 3200 stock amd chip is ALMOST the eqivilent to a pentiun 4 running at 3.2ghz. So your stock 4000 already is better that his cpu (if it is a normal p4). Yours is LIKE a p4 running at 4000 mhz. Besides a intel chip running at 2.8 is not that good. If it was runing at 4.0ghz thats something to be proud of.

Instead of fabricating a filter you could get on of these http://www.frozencpu.com/products/2634/ffi...html?tl=g36c223 I have one and they're not to thick, just a little thicker than normal fan grills. They work pretty well too, you just gotta brush off the collected dust every once in a while.
  13. Zeld you could just get some swithces and mount them to a drive bay cover, thats what i plan on doing soon.
  14. I'm sure if you are that worried about a fire casued by your inverter you could just pop of the top of the inverter and drill some bigger holes on the top to increase ventilation.

  16. 1.9v would mean the death of that cpu. They problably mean 1.5-1.575 to get up to 2.9-3.0ghz, thats just my guess you will have to find out for yourself.
  17. Glad I could help. Just noticed that you have a si-120 witha papst fan at 5v, when you start to oc that chip you might want to get a higher cfm fan or increase that voltage to 12v cause when i had mine at 3ghz and 1.55 volts the temp was very high, 35-38 C idle and around 48-54C, until i lowered the vcore to 1.525 and opened my windows and let in that cool brisk air.
  18. I just passed p95 12hrs on 11x275 on 1.525. Temps decreased a bit, but it still was running a bit warm so I opened up my windows (its about 60-65f in chicago) and that helped alot. My temps are 30-33 idle and around 41-43 load, which is a much more comfortable temp range for me.
  19. Well I just tried the link and it works now. And for some reason it doesn't show your stepping. Are you sure it's not KAB2E? If it isn't then your steeping is most likely just like the other older E6 revisions and doesnt really do to well on air cooling, and really shines on Phase change and other sub-zero cooling. It seems that the E6 chips don't usually OC past 2.8 or so on air. But if it is a KAB2E you can probably go up to 3.0 on the 2006 versions and on the mid-late2005 versions you can expect around 2.9. the KAB2E's generally reguire more volts at higher OC's.
