  1. That's what I had in mind. Don't you think that's better?
  2. ReelFiles, Just a thought..... Round off the corners?
  3. If you really want a raptor get the smaller version. I put my OS on the Raptor. With the savings buy yourself another HDD & use a RAID array.
  4. I found this interesting. Perhaps someone can use this idea? http://www.metku.net/index.html?sect=view&...pire2/index_eng
  5. Ahhh....the billets. On my wish list too. In fact I e-mailed him about when they will be back in stock. We gotta wait until the end of the month.
  6. Actually I'm looking at a side window for the Stacker that only has 2 fans. I'm still worried about the PSU fitting correctly.
  7. Thanks. I hadn't heard about the noise issue. I was concerned about the lower case fans drawing in dust. I'll keep that in mind.
  8. I'm going to be buying a new case in the near future. I'm an unabashed Lian Li fanboy. However, the new case is going to a large one and there are 2 non-Lian Li cases that I find intriguing. http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/ind...roducts_id=3941 Plenty of room & nice looking. http://www.xoxide.com/cooler-master-cm-stacker-830.html Also good looking. However, somewhere I seem to recall that PSUs that are larger than normal don't fit. http://www.frozencpu.com/cst-305.html This is the case I'm leaning towards now. I'm looking for input from people that use them. Particulary if the Stacker does have PSU fitting problems & whether the Crossflow fan works well with it.
  9. I'm not crazy about the Antec 180. I found it cramped in the only build I used it in. However, there are plenty here who use it & like it. I'm also not a big fan of Antec PSUs. Take a look at some of the Fortron PSUs. The Expert board can be fussy when it comes to RAM. You might want to look at something other than a value series. The money you spend on the Raptor might be better off being spent on HDDs you can run in RAID. Those are just my opinions. Good luck.
  10. Fans will remain off until the CPU reaches the high treshold set in BIOS. It's not a defect or a problem and it can be adjusted in BIOS.
  11. As always: Are all power cables connected.
  12. If everything works fine then I'd leave it alone and enjoy.

  14. Is memory in orange slots? Are Optimum Defaults loaded? Had memory been memtested? Are all 4 power cables connected?
  15. Don't know. But you changed processors. A different BIOS might address the change.
  16. You have mixed memory modules. Try with just your Mushkin memory. You should also be aware that your Mushkin memory reverts back to DDR 200 of the Crucial you're using.
  17. Be careful about the fit of the higher capacity PSUs. Some cases don't accept them well.
  18. All power connections need to be seated. Including the molex connector. There have been issues w/ some Crucial memory but some have them working fine. Connect all 4 power cables & run memtest from BIOS.
  19. Why drive a car when you can have a truck? 2005 Chevy 1/2 ton HD 4WD Crew Cab.
  20. Are all the power cables connected?
