  5. What it has to do with this thread is you using those settings as an example of the outcome of proper TIM application. When in fact it is not possible that the system ran at anywhere near the claimed speed as verified by the result in your own screenshot. And IntelBurnTest means squat to me. It is well known that it has a bug when used with i7 processors which results in only 50% of the CPU being loaded.
  6. Is that what the LinX screenshot is in your sig you seem so proud of? Hate to bust your bubble but that screenshot is either Photochoped or the CPU is thermal throttling. I don't normally call someone out like this but for you I am going to make an exception. In most every thread you post in you talk down to and ridicule other members and have a know it all attitude that conveys there are only two ways to do something. Your way or the wrong way. This needs to stop here and stop now. Along with the screenshot in your sig I have posted a couple of others for comparison. Your 40 Gigaflops is the result of an i7 using 8 threads that wold be running somewhere around 3.1GHz. 4.47GHz should be hitting close to 60 Gigaflops. Before slapping people around on forums I suggest you clean up your own house so you do not look quite so foolish.   10. It will be a bit before I get back to that board. When the CPU arrived a put it in the 4A89TD Pro (non-G) board and have the CPU in the Crosshair now. I think a 1090T is on its way to me so if that's the case I can hop back to the M4A89GTD Pro.
  11. Garbage Collection (GC) is a process performed by all SSDs. It is part of the wear leveling routine. How aggressive GC is depends on the controller being used and even the firmware version. Properly written firmware will have GC performing at the FTL which allows the routine to know which pages/blocks contain invalid data and also makes it file system independent. Free space is important because the less there is the more difficult it is for data to be moved around during GC increasing the time required to complete.
  12. A SSD with properly designed firmware can be run in RAID without any problems. The drive needs some idle time and a bit of free space for GC to work with.

As the screenshots show I am able to manually lock in the Turbo multipliers in the BIOS. I'm not sure if this is because of the chip or the board/BIOS is allowing it.   20. The board needs to be set up properly. My 1035T at 4000MHz. Thuban scores 18%-20% higher at the same clock compared to your 920.
