  1. I found this one: http://www.buy.com/prod/kingston-64gb-ssdn.../211220744.html What do you guys think?
  2. Yep, I'm actually running two 24" lcds at 1920x1080 =D
  3. What's the best internal SSD for around $150-$200. The lowest size I can really go is 64gb. This is the motherboard I'm getting so it will have to be compatible: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16813128358 Thanks!
  4. I think that's a good idea. I can get that original Gigabyte motherboard, get the Radeon 4890 and, when I have the money, upgrade to another 4890 and run it in crossfire. Thanks!
  5. I see that it only supports Crossfire...what motherboard do you guys recommend? I really want to do SLI with these two 8800gt (I'm getting them for $100/each).
  6. Video card: http://www.devhardware.com/c/a/Video-Cards/BFG-8800-GT-OC/1/ It has (1) 6-pin power connector. Is it required that a power connector be connected to the video card for it to function? Or will it work fine just inserted into the PCI express slot and draw it's power from the mobo?
  7. I'm planning on upgrading to this motherboard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...%20GA-EP45-UD3P I'm planning on getting two of these video cards: http://www.devhardware.com/c/a/Video-Cards/BFG-8800-GT-OC/ My question is: will these two cards be able to be used in SLI for this motherboard? Looking at the specs, the motherboard has : (2) PCI Express 2.0 x16( x16 / x8 ) and this video card is a PCI Express 2.0 x16 Thanks!
  8. I'm running Windows XP Pro 32bit. Since most programs run in 32bit anyway, am I using all 4 cores? Can most programs access all 4 cores to spread the usage? Or is the first core always used? When running Speedfan, I notice that only one core is usually used for all programs. But when I run a benchmarking utility (Prime95), during the stress test I see that all 4 cores are being used. just curious, thanks!
  9. hmm..i'd much rather just stick with my psu i have now...its an ultra v-series 500w like i said. I've read that Ultra makes pretty good psu's. any other suggestions?
  10. I found a good power supply (thermaltake purepower) but it's only 430watts...will it be enough to power my rig?
  11. my power supply is an Ultra V-Series 500w. It didn't come with my case as I remember buying it at Frys.
  12. I don't even know. It's probably an off-brand psu. Do you think 500w is enough to power everything?
  13. I like the Asus P5K...I'm kind of hesistant on the "open box policy". Anyone have any bad experiences with that?
  14. So far, I have the following: Intel Q6600 Quad-core (socket 775) 4GB (2x2GB) A-Data DDR2 800 EVGA GeForce 8600GT 500w ps I need a motherboard (in my price range) but don't know what to get. I don't want to spend more than $80 or $90. I know it's too little to spend but i'm really on a budget. I'll be using my computer for games (latest ones), burning dvds, and then casual use. Thanks for the advice!
  15. Just curious, but how do you know the EVGA motherboard supports up to 1066? I've been reading the specs of the motherboard on other websites and it says it supports "DDR2 533/667MHz" and then on Newegg it says the memory standard is "DD2 667" thanks for the help so far! also, if you guys don't like that motherboard...any recommendations on a better one I can get for no more than $60 that supports ddr2 800?
