  7. If when you say to boot press any key you mean (to boot from CD press any key.) DON'T hit any key. and let it boot from HD. It may take a few seconds. if you keep hitting any key it will start the install process over again.
  8. I'm interested in the memory, if the price is right As you can see my second rig is needy. * anyone interested in the video card????*
  9. Just think what it will be like 10 years from now..
  10. I dont think that a fingerprint of past removed by your finger would remove enough. now if ther is a bare spot where it was completly removed that could be bad. i'll recomend what everyone hear would, get some arctic silver 5 thermal compound. to replace the stock compound. It's not expensive and is far better than stock compounds, and one tube will last for several uses.
  11. I would check to see if your HSF is making good contact with CPU. and a even film of paste was applied. and alway double check your power connection and fan connections.
  12. All my stuff arrived today. . But when I opend the box zalman had some shipping damage. [email protected]$%^#&*** USPS.. Poped the top on a cold one , sat down at the table and spent a beer's worth on straightening out the fins. :thumbs-up: Good as new again. I will get to install goodies this weekend.
  13. 4 new maps where i downloaded from. Had to register for a free account first.
  14. I've never had an ASUS board fail at all .. 1 DFI board went south on me and replaced it with an ASUS A7N8X-E and with all the same hardware( granted the OC'ing fetures were not very good, but that has changed in todays boards) =It's still runnin today. So you can label me ASUS fan boy, cause they have never let me down..
  15. Sounds like you are having better luck on your side now. After hearing of your findings of things that are not at fault reminded me of when i swapped the 3500 single core to a 3800X2 i had similar BSOD's. my question to you is have you ever flashed the BIOS? as this was what fixed my problem. I flashed it to ver.1014.after that everything ran fine with no BSOD.
