  1. HAHA, i knew you too were from NYC  atm in attending city tech for an Associate Degree in electrical engineering. btw the jordans were like a big giveaway. back on topic, dont bother trying out a size 7, it just might barely fit and your feet will regret it later on.

and as for KB, im sure most of us know about being financially stable, but does it mean constantly depriving yourself from something that you actually might want? sure one has to work now that mom and dad isnt supporting them but it doesnt mean working your butt off for minumum wage unless of course dropping out of school was the thing. like i said, i agree with you KB but you also have to be able to set aside money to treat your self to some fancy BS once in a while, while being financially stable.

:withstupid: Well said. Hey swiffy what are you? like nationality?

  2. well while we are all entitled to our opinions, im sure that me and queenz can both agree on looking good and well dressed is just as important as having a fancy computer that can do 4aa/16af @ 1600x1200 res

True because to me my life isn't just all about computers and having the latest fancy hardware and what not. When I say this I speak for other people here on OCC that don't just mess around with computers all the time. Some people lets say like a sport other than computers, or like to buy houseware stuff, or power tools, etc. But as you can see me and swifty like spending it on clothes or shoes also. So everyone and I mean everyone has their own opinion and other hobby besides just computers. Maybe not everyone but there is probaly alot who do. And when you live here in NYC and go to schools here that all people do is judge you on if you have the lastest jordans, or nike, or ecko, or whatever like ghetto stuff. If you were here you would probaly understand why. But as of right now these are just opinions and not nothing to start crapping the thread I started. And you talk like your freaking older than me. You were born in 90 so I am assuming your 16 like me. Your just saying all this stuff probaly because you grew up in a family where you could get most of the things you wanted. Otherwise if you didn't you probaly wouldn't even be talking about that. And I just didn't quit the job because of that, I also quit it because of other reasons I don't want to mention here on OCC. So don't talk like you know me if you don't know the full side.

  3. :withstupid: hell i had my retro 10s since the first day of release last year and till now still look new except for the noise and the shoe string. besides, i dont like looking "old" when im out of the house, but dont mind wearing a t-shirt and boxers all day long in the house.

edit: so theres nothing wrong with people spending a stupid $3k for a a fancy but utterly useless quad sli and dell/apple lcd but its like illegal for someone buying a pair of regular shoes? honestly most people in a urban area couldnt care less about a uber computer but could care more about looking good. *end mini rant* oh besides, aslong as you take care of any pair of shoes, it should last more than 6 months at least...

    :withstupid:

  4. well for the fall and winter timberland boots usually go down in price at the malls if you look right, if you wear those aswell. its a PITA when white sneakers get dirty on a rainy day hehe, first time i got my 14s, for two weeks i kept cleaning them till they were sparkly white, now i dont care anymore hehe

meh my retro 10s (black) were really great untill they kept on making a squeeking sound when i walk with them soo... i dunno wtf to do to fix them so that means ill have to get either another pair or something :( sucks when you outwear a good shoe ><

edit: lol boybands, i think im one of the few who probably wouldnt cringe at buying overpriced shoes (unless its more than $200, then i wont buy it  )

lol well I guess I will just go look at footlocker tommorow or something. I will try big kids shoes its just I am 16 years old and I think I might look kind of silly asking the clerk oh can I have a size 7 in big kids shoes lmao :bah:

BTW: I do got the babyblue and black 14's but I gave them to my GF to hold onto.

  5. http://www.instyleshoes.com/nikeshoes/304775081.htm those ones right? if so, oh god i want those so badly, too bad most sites that sell them are not the real ones though.

anyways go to your local shoe store and try out a big kids size 7, honestly i think your SOL, so your gonna have to pay double the price sadly :( which reminds me i need another few more pairs of shoes just for this semester of school :) too bad my sneaker money was spent on books...

yeah my dad is only willing to give me 40 bucks for shoes lol. I spent most of my money on water cooling for the past month so I don't have crap now.

  6. do those shoes happen to be Air Jordans? if so then i think they do but maybe up to a size 6? yea, either way size does matter the bigger the shoe the more expensive. eh my sneakers costed me about $120 each yet smaller sizes have like half the price. :(

yeah their air jordan retro 7's. they cost only 39.99 for size 7 in big kids. but i dont know if they will fit my feet

  7. You don't need to have side panels for it to operate. Just from hearing it has a PIII 500 tells me it's not your main rig to use, which is why I suggest just leaving it as is. Depending on how much ram it has, it wouldn't make a bad little server or test rig for new hardware.

Of course this doesn't directly answer your question, but it's there as an alternative to spending money on it.

    :)

I know but it just doesn't look right with something covering the side. Thats why I got the idea of making the plexy glass look like side panels on both sides.

  8. Ok I have this old p3 500 mhz computer. The case I have is very nice. I painted the front with a nice coat of fire engine red and the interior with black. I got to admit it looks pretty sexy but both the side panels are missing because my mom trashed them thinking I didn't need them. What should I do now to cover it up????? I would hate to trash this case spending my hard time painting and modding it to my needs. Any one got any ideas. I was thinking about just buying to big slabs of plexy glass. But I am not sure. Any good ideas?

  9. But I think its just because they never made an X64 version of 5536. Notice that 5536 only has an X86 version. I bet 5600 was made to add X64 and ofcoarse fix more bugs, crashes, driver problems, and blah blah blah that were in 5536. But if you ask me I think 5536 runs very smooth besides the compatibilty issues I was having with the ATI Catalyst control center, certain games, ATI Tool, and Radlinker.

  10. in my closed loops system i lose about a teaspoon a month. i assume that's not a leak i need to worry much about?

    am i right?

Well If I were you I would usually just make sure the clamps are tight enough and make sure all the tubes are attached sercurly. But with all the hot weather we been having I wouldn't really say losing about a teaspoon of water is something to worry about because it evaporates sometimes :P

  11. Have you thought about going with a Core 2 Duo? And isn't this topic in the wrong area of the forums. I thought its suppose to go in the place where you put system builds at, and if I am wrong please correct me thats suppose to be in the "Motherboard & Bios" section of the forums. ;)

  12. it won't make any difference as long as one of the ports isn't obviously an inlet with some sort of jet filter on it for impingement, but from the location of the inlet/outlet ports it looks like there is most probably just a simple channel in a U-shape from one port to the other (or maybe a funky "3" shape)

does the waterblock have a manual or online installation guide?

Yeah it does have a manual but it doesn't say anything about it being in a certain position on the motherboard or anything.

  13. Ok for some odd reason I heard somewhere that placing the water block upside affects its peformance. I heard its suppose to be in the direction where the inlet and outlet holes are suppose to be at the top and not at the bottom. Is this true? Because I have mine like this. And would anyone know have any ideas on how to cool my radiator better. Right now it has a 80MM fan on it that is DC 12V and runs at a max of 2700 RPM.

  14. i have those same sticks, and used to do ddr600 24hour prime and occt stable that is untill i tried them in an asus board and they never behaved the same :(

edit: they do BUT i havent really seen any very high quality ones (last time i checked was like a few months ago :P )

cool I couldn't possibly even have enough room in my case to even run all those freaking tubes everywhere lol

  15. you won't get very far at 2-2-2-5 with tccd ram... you need to open it up to at least 2.5-3-3-6 to get anywhere and more likely 2.5-4-3-7 or 2.5-4-4-8 for max performance....

i had my 2x512 MB GSkill LE (very similar sticks) up at 304 MHz, 2.5-4-3-7-1T :)

i have them screenshotted up at 322 MHz too lol... including memtest86+ passing at 320 MHz!!!

edit: i gave my sticks 2.9 + .03v in bios on my Ultra-D (SLI modded), i'd say anything up to 2.9v is ok to try, up to 3.03v if you are feeling brave and have a fan ON the ram... you should have a fan on the ram anyway, regardless

They really need to start making waterblocks for RAM ;)

  16. oor you can give them to people that have no computers.

:withstupid: I totally agree because I see kids or families sitting at home who aren't fortunate enough to have a computer. Just imagine how it would be to be in that position. Like donate them to an orphan place or something in that area. I am sure the kids would be more than happy enough to have them

  17. Here's my RAM, basically i've starting to try overclock my computer again since i've gotten it back together and running for awhile. I did a case mod project so i have to start over. Basically i'm curious on how many volts would be safe to put through the RAM. Right now i'm putting 2.8v through them so they will be stable at 210 fsb. At this rate i'm worried that i wont be getting very far with my overclock. Thanks.

SO your saying that it isn't even stable raising the speed of the RAM 10 more MHZ without raising the voltage to 2.8V? Usually RAM could do that speed on stock volts. I think you raised the voltage too soon. Your overclock isn't even high enough to add more voltage yet. I had crappy kingston RAM and it could do 210 on stock 2.6V. You need to check your timings because it doesn't sound right. ;)
