  1. well for me i want to get more use out of my OCZ memory and for another i will never use an Intel chip. straight AMD for me
  2. all right, so i buy the opteron and put it in my current board. what will i have to do to get it to run?
  3. i contacted gigabyte and was told that the only dual opterons that are supported are the 165 & 170 with no further bios updates coming for my board
  4. i am currently running the the setup in my signature and want to purchase an opteron 185 as an upgrade to my X2 4200 but my gigabyte motherboard does not support it nor will there be any future bios updates according to gigabyte. i do not want to upgrade to AM2 yet and want to get more use out of my OCZ memory. now my question is i read where DFI does not support using opterons on the ultra D but i am told it will see it and run it. is that correct? with my hardware setup will i face any other obstacles? thank you to all that reply
  5. i have a NFII ULTRA B for sale for $60 shipped in USA only. it is board and IO bracket only. here are my heatware references http://heatware.com/eval.php?id=2478 i will accept paypal non credit card as payment. i will be shipping it via US priority mail with signature confirmation and insured. please contact me at [email protected] to arrange shipment and to pay me. thank you
  6. well darien you might have just talked me out of using it now SATA is a big factor for me as i have one DVD-RW hooked up via adapter and one SATA drive hooked up. do not want to lose that. damn, oh well i am sure i can trade or sell it for something nice as i see some still like the board. thank you for being honest
  7. no the board was not new, bought it from a for sale forum on another site for $60 shipped so i think i got a good deal provided it doesn't give me a migrain getting it to run
  8. in reading through the posts here i am seeing some mixed results on using a barton 3200 on the ultra B. I will be installing it early next week and want to make sure it will run on it. it has bios 06/19/2004 flashed on it. from reading through the posts here i seem to think that i will be ok with this bios. i plan on doing a little bit of overclocking but nothing extreme. i mainly bought it to replace my Abit AN7 as i wanted better memory performance, better overclock and more SATA ports. i looked into getting an X2 system but run into to much hassle so sent the stuff back and bought the DFI board to prolong my barton another year or so. Please be gentle!!!!
  9. what is OCCT? pretty new to overclocking so please forgive my ignorance
  10. i am running my Barton 3200 200 MHZ FSB chip at 220 MHZ FSB for a speed of 2.43 GHZ. my vcore is set at 1.7, northbridge at 1.7 and vdim at 2.8 I run prime 95 and it ran for 11 minutes then give error message. see below for system specs. what would i need to increase to stabalize the system or don't i need to worry about it? temps and everything are fine. my cpu is running at 32C at idle and system at 28C.
