  3. well if i read that right you got rid of Ubuntu and just want windows right? if so you can put the vista cd in and go to the command line repair and run fixmbr that should remove grub and restore the windows boot loader
  4. hey IVIythos you forgot your name in the pic
  5. that should be all you need to do for it. I went thru it with my kingston drive when i installed windows. I just enabled it in the registry tho. only other thing to do is set it to ahci in the bios.
  6. when I first started with it and was going so well I was hoping I could get 4+ out of it but I've hit a wall. I believe the MB is limiting me in going any further because heat is not an issue.
  7. I want to but not sure what else to try. I've messed with so much its driving me bonkers. It will boot at 4GHz but its not stable...............
  8. stock clock was 2.8 I'm still trying to get it to 4.0 but i think Ive got the most I can out of her.
  9. bump, come on now i know this aint impossible lol
  10. yeah makes me wish I had a ddr3 board and not ddr2
  11. my worst injury was when I was working for Asplundah Tree Service, we were clearing a right of way and boy was it thick. I was cutting trees down left and right but some had vines holding them to other trees and I cut the one that eventually fell on my foot and it didnt fall right away so i move on to the next one and about half way thru it i hear a loud crack and then feel the pain of a section of tree about 25 feet tall 8 inches round sitting on my foot!!! A few of the guys I worked with had to push and cut the tree to get it off of my foot and take me to the hospital. I had 8 broken spots in my foot. I wish I had a pic my foot was almost as big as a football but that was before I got my first computer.
  12. if it was me would go for choice 2 as i think SB needs lower voltage memory, i think the standard is 1.5v and if its much past that its not good for the cpu. but I could be wrong.
  13. do you have different memory to try? also did you manually set the speed and timings in the bios?
  14. http://i284.photobucket.com/albums/ll6/wormy9871233/IMG-20110821-00025.jpg an Amiga desktop
  15. If you dont have to have a black edition you could get this one AMD Phenom II X6 1055T Thuban 2.8GHz for 139.99 so 25 bucks more than the quad
  16. How about this? AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 114.99 after promo code and I would stay with a quad I love my Phenom ll 925 so far. ASUS M5A97 99.99 Kingston HyperX 4GB (2 x 2GB)DDR3 1333 44.99 So thats a total of 258.98 looks like a decent upgrade

    Hello !

Hello and Welcome we hope you enjoy your stay!
  18. I plan to, I hope I can get this resolved before any drive failures.
  19. I'm very happy with my decision to purchase this one. It's a beast as far as overclocking. Still got some tweaking and learning to do to get the most out of this one,
  20. Yeah I feel your pain all to well. I was in the same boat about a year ago but moved about 150 miles away from my side of the family to stay with my wife's parents. Good luck on the job hunt, I know its hard.
  21. It is a proper racing game in the segment they were aiming for.
  22. I'm with everyone else sorry to hear of the loss. I will also keep your family in my prayers as well.
  23. Yeah I know what it's for but it's a pain to line them up and even if you get them on good they eventually vibrate loose. I've had to put them back on once already. I've had the cooler for around 9 months now.
  24. I kinda figured this would happen with all the hype they started. I dont think it was this bad when the forever version came out but it was a long download...........
