Hi everyone! I'm planning on building a small, lightweight, portable lan box. Here is the list of components:
Case: Lian-li pc-tu100b http://www.amazon.com/PC-TU100B-Black-Aluminum-Mini-ITX-Computer/dp/B00F2RRE1E
MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z97N-Gaming 5 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128719
CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819117374
Cooler: Corsair H60 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835181030
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 960 mini-ITX http://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-Overclocked-GDDR5-Graphics-GV-N960IXOC-2GD/dp/B00SD9KZ96
RAM: 2 x 8GB HyperX Fury http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820104461
Haven't yet settled for the storage and the PSU, but probably 256GB SSD + 1TB HDD (2.5'' laptop drive) and a modular corsair from CS or CX series.
The biggest challenge will be to fit the H60 in there. The plan is to remove the 120mm intake fan from the front and place the H60 there, I know that I can also remove the dust filter from the front (since I won't need it anyway) to make some more room. Now, to be honest, after watching reviews and checking out some builds I really think that the H60 will really fit in there since it is really thin (probably a little thicker than the intake fan). I know I could get the noctua LH-L9i and it would fit perfectly in there but after checking out some temps in some benchmarks, I am feeling a little discouraged since I am planning to OC that G3258 to 4.5 - 4.7GHz. I am not worried about the 960 since it is a cool-running card with low power consumption anyway.
Any opinions, ideas or suggestions would be highly apreciated!
