    Case options for new build

Okay, so now that I have a stable career and some extra cache to spend, I am planning out my dream machine build. I'm a big fan of 'Go big or go home', but I don't want to spend 500-800$ on a boutique case (i.e. Caselabs, mountainmods) So it looks like my best bet is the 900D. Now don't get me wrong, I would love to build in the 900D, but the case has been out for 2 years and is kind of tired. You can't do much that hasn't already been done. So what I'm looking for is some alternatives the the beautiful monster that is the 900D for me to use as my canvas for my build. Looking for ample watercooling support, large size (the better to mod with, my dear), and a very clean design that isn't busy. I may very well be CNC milling designs into aluminum at the machine shop I work at. I'd like to keep it under 400. I figured I would ask here, because I know some of you have reviewed and/or built in a variety of new cases, and it is quite possible that there is something I have missed in my research. This will be turning into a worklog once I start actually purchasing parts. :)Thanks for the help guys!

    Greetings!

Good system, but the chipset is ancient. Board still has an IDE connector

    Greetings!

Just posted my rig in my profile... It's outdated because I'm poor and build on a budget.... coming up on an upgrade cycle though. Currently I am running an AMD FX-6100 at 4.2 GHz. (Stock 3.5, the chip can do 4.5 under air, probably more with my current cooler, but my current Mobo has terrible LLC) on an ASRock 970DE3/U3S3 with 8gb DDR3 1333. Cooled by an expanded Swiftech H220. GFX card is an ASUS HD7970 DCII with the GHZ edition Bios flashed, so 1GHz clock and 1500 MHz mem. (Voltage locked, and I just got it so I haven't had time to try and get it modded to push a higher clock) PSU is a Vantec Voltra 850 watt Semi modular that I just sleeved in paracord. Running in a modded Cooler Master Silencio 652s.

    Greetings!

Finally bit the bullet and became a member of this wonderful community. I have been a PC enthusiast for 15 years, and a frequent lurker of many of the tech forums for much of the past decade as I built and upgraded rigs. I look forward to benefiting the forums with my experience, and I hope to take knowledge as well, to be able to further my skill set. Happy Clocking!
