  5. I want to get 1 gig of pc-3200 (2X512) and i do not plan on overclocking it. I was thinking Corsair Value Select (Dual Pack) 184 Pin 512MBx2 DDR PC-3200 http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-145-440&depa=0 untill i was told it was crap so i pushed my budget as far as it can go to get two sticks of OCZ Enhanced Latency Series 184 Pin 512MB PC-3200 Platinum Edition http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....-146-889&depa=0 it this a good choice because i would like to get cheaper RAM but still good performance. I am not set on getting one of the two they were just recommended to me, so if you have a better choice then tell me. once again i do not plan on overclocking the RAM so i dont care it it doesent overclock well.
  6. This is the first time I will be building a computer so I want to make sure I am doing this right. The setup I picked out: Mobo: SOLTEK "SL-K890PRO-939" CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3200+ RAM: OCZ enhanced latency series DDR pc-3200 (2X512) Video: Chaintech GeForce 6600GT PCIe Case: INWIN "X710" w/ 430w PSU HDD: Maxtor Ultra Series Kit 120GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive I have old DVD drives I can use Is this setup good? Would you recommend i change anything? Are all the parts compatible? I will be playing mostly HL2 and CS:S, also note I have little intent on overclocking in the near future I know this might be alot of work but this is my final step before purchasing the parts. Thank you
  7. I have the artic silencer version 2 on my 9800 pro. it's cool, but the only real complaint i have is that it didn't come with ram heatsinks...i was fairly new to overclocking and didn't realize i would need to put ram heatsinks on too. I'm about to flash the bios and install 9800 XT bios on it, but i'm still looking for ram heatsinks for the card...before you install the artic silencer or zalman, don't forget the ram heatsinks...so far i'm satisfied even though i've only been overclocking the VPU...it's cool cuz it has a switch in the back to change the speeds....
