LimeWire was unable to set up a port to
listen for incoming connections. Some
features of LimeWire may not work as expected.

i am typing this post using mozilla cause its the only web access i seem to have
oh yeah, winamp connects to streaming audio flawlessly... wtf?
any clue what happened?
thanks in advance

if it was my choice, i would recommend something retro
like an old Apple IIgs
if you want a custom case, build it from something out of the ordinary
its ok, ill allow you to make an original creation, but just this one time

ok, after wondering what to do before blowing $100+
i went to ATIs webpage and downloaded a new driver and the ATI Catalyst software
this somehow made everything back to normal
currently the card is working awesome, but i am still going to look into a new card

im sorry, i ment the fx6800 not 5800
i dont run pcix so thats outta the question
im also gonna contact ati directly with the problem im experiencing
-
a problem isolated with the 9700 cards?
so im guessing its time to sell the 9700 pro and get a fx5800
im not reinstalling again if i can off this card for less trouble
i have latese drivers and im not flashing my bios

my first computer was entirely built piece by piece from ebay
i took about a month or 2 to research everything on the market, read reviews, more reviews, more reviews, checked out all the new product releases, etc
research is the key! use it!
now if i were to build a computer for someone, i only need to know 2 things...
1. what is your budget?
2. what will be the main use of the computer?

you can use a dremel for almost any design, you just have to take your timei first said a dremel tool will not be small enough for this design
the dremel site you linked included designs that i can cut out with a dremel no doubt
because i want this certain design, im still saying no way in hell am i cutting it out with a dremel
i emailed the water cuts guy to see what he can do for me... thanks for the link

seems to lock up faster in high resolution
only happens when i try to run a game (UT'04, C&C Generals) even a 3d fish screensaver will cause a lockup
im not overclocked
my psu reads stable via using my Fluke multimeter
tried swapping processors to no avail
memtest was ran over an over
plenty of free space on the HD
tried another mobo to no avail
i dont have a spare video card to swap in to see what happens
cauld a faulty video card cause a complete lockup?
p.s., i already tried disabling all background programs and no difference
-
ive had good luck with Memorex and Imation media
-
you still want outdoor cooling or similar?
go to pepboys and pickup a med size transmission cooler then run your water cooling setup through that
long enough hoses will allow you to put it outside your window if you so desire
-
is there any places i can send my case to get a design cut into the side?
a dremel is not going be small enough
i almost need someone with a laser cutter or a mill of some type
any ideas?
my local phone book isnt much help

in that case, get the biggest baddest thing you can find B:)
like this bad lad.....
MS 880 STIHL Magnum
-
but if i dont plan on overclocking is it still worth it?
am i better off just getting 2100 for better reliability? or will it matter?
the only reason i ask is that there is almost a $50 difference
-
im running 4gb of samsung pc3200 and never saw the need to overclock em
i found a set of 4 from a guy on ebay $600
-
i just saw that corsair now sells pc5400 chips... wtf?
-
if it will underclock the pc2100, then whats the point of spending the extra cash for it?
-
whats the point of ocing your ram?
if your looking into buying new ram anyways, just get a larger amount of ram instead
as far as the heat problem, you may wanna look into an alternative cooling solution such as mounting a blower at the end of the chips so that cool air blows through everything
