i know this movie is old as dirt and many have not seen it or remember it, but i bought the movie about a year ago and am interested in finding out depending on how much you know about this movie, this is my question... i am looking for a list of the laptops that were used, specifically the clear one that was shipped to Dade
what the heck is that thing? is it a mac? is there any way that some one out there would possibly know the model?
i have tried emailing most of the old movie websites to find out that most of them do not exist or the site admin just wont reply to emails from their listed address.
if you know what that thing is or could point me in a better direction, that would be awesome!
thanks

tiger does online rebates, so you dont have to mail anything in
when you complete the order, you instantly get the rebate, input rebate info, the check and the hd are on their way!

so will the ddr2 4200 work with my 3.4 p4?
-
why not trim a notch in the server's case?
if you cant do that, get a server board from someone like TYAN
-
well if i get a DFI LANPARTY UT 915P-T12 it comes with ddr and ddr2 slots
will ddr2 4200 533MHz work with my p4 3.4 prescott with 800fsb??
or do i need the ddr2 800MHz?
-
oh its definately ddr2, its printed on the ram itself
came with my dell dimented 4700
Hmmm...I just did some research, and I didn't even find DDR2 at 3200, only DDR. DDR2 start at 4200.check google
punch in ddr2 3200
it comes up with a bunch of results
its called pc2-3200 not pc-3200

"Go with an intel since you cant really afford the x2"ok .. but i find Athlon 64 X2 3800+ for USD374 & Intel D 830 for USD313
if your trying to keep costs down go with whatever you find to be cheaper
"the psu has to go"
ok i dint think abt the exact requirements for psu .. do suggest some ..
i use Enermax PSUs in most everything i build but i have herd good things about the Pc Power & Cooling brand units
"and you need a good 500gb for a decent setup for video editing"
actually i do have extra SATA I HDD's - so that part is not an issue ..
when it comes to graphics, more space the better B:)

try unplugging everything (including all expansion cards and cd roms) only leave your keyboard and hard drive attached
start into bios, set as 1st hard drive to boot, see if windows loads..

i have 2 sticks of DDR2 SDRAM at 400MHz (pc3200)
however when i look on newegg, they dont list any motherboards that run pc3200 ddr2
the drop down box only says ddr2 800, ddr2 667, ddr2 533
i also have an intel 3.4 prescott (lga 775) with this setup
is the ddr2 800 that they list actually compatible with my ddr2 400mhz sticks?
i am lost... lol

im not a good dancer and the problem had nothing to do with an RMA
whats the point of "online tech support" if it really doesnt exist
if they didnt read my first email, they definately wont read the 2nd...
im not bashing the product in any way
ok im done now
-
when you oc, you cant just crank the clock and leave everything else at stock
make sure you up your FSB and voltages
if you have some heave duty ram coolers, you might aswell go for upping the freq on em also
-
i ended up fixing the problem i had with the board (no thnx to tech support)
there was some ghetto soldering done to the main power connection on the under side

Dear Customer,
Please kindly refer to our test report for approved components to use with the system board:
http://www.msi.com.tw/program/products/mai...ail.php?UID=644
Please kindly refer to our online troubleshooting guide for the issue:
http://www.msicomputer.com/support/sup_tshoot.asp
Please do verify all other components like the Processor, Memory Module, Video card, and Power Supply in another working system board to determine the cause of the problem.
Please try with clearing the cmos setting on Jbat1 jumper or removing the battery on the mb out for 1 minute and put it back in with power off.
Please test out the mb and components outside the case with mb box to support the board. This can prevent any short or grounding problem to the mb and it

trust me, its been reset a few times <_<
i ran Seatools and everything passed except the NTFS format
can a corrupted format cause complete loss of use?
theres a ton of files i need to get off this thing
if it werent for that, i woulda ran killdisk and reformatted it along time ago
update:
i gave up with trying to save anything on the drive
i ran Active Killdisk (2 passes) and attempted to install a fresh copy of xp... no luck
-
ok heres the deal, im working on a friends system and i need to recover data from his hard drive
on his system, the drive reads that the ntfs format is corrupted
i plugged it into my computer to see if i cant get a look at whats left on the drive
windows shows the drive in the device manager as installed and working fine
however, when i open my computer, only my drives exist
what am i doing wrong?
ive already moved the jumper from slave to master and cable select with the same result
p.s. it is a seagate barracuda 40 gig running IDE that im trying to access
my drives run SATA but this shouldnt cause any conflict

also this should help inspire some of you guys to think twice before donating that old case to the landfill
well heres the shots......
all was done with alittle creativity and some spraypaint!
