  1. Rocksmith 2014 Flannel Jacket/Shirt from Duluth and this coat/shirt is a beast!
  2. Hey Troy, I messaged Hulu on their forums and this is the reply I got:
  3. I love my Android, but I would consider giving a new Nokia Lumina a go for 2 years if I could get it really cheap or free lol! I have heard good things about them.

    3Mill!

I'm beginning to feel like a folding god.
  5. I will agree that the commercial thing is bulldoodie. What really kind of makes me mad is the fact they said they need the commercials to stay a float with revenue. If I am not mistaken they recently just hit the 1 billion dollar mark in revenue this year.

    3Mill!

I finally broke 3million with [email protected]!
  7. It's pretty strait forward: Netflix: mostly old movies and old TV series. Hulu Plus: Up-to-date TV content (some TV content can go back as far as last season) - Old movies. IMO they are not comparable to each other because they both offer different services. Hulu whether you are paying for it or not has Ads as well. Kinda off subject, but if you are interested in saving money I will tell you what I have started doing and I have been preaching it to my friends on facebook who are trying to cut their TV bills in half. What you need: Roku 3 PlayOn + PlayLater HDTV Antenna Computer w/ Internet Access Hulu Netflix Amazon Prime Project Free TV So with this setup and apps you can pretty much get rid of your cable or satellite service. After the initial setup you are only paying for Hulu, Netflix, and the yearly Amazon Prime fees. Which ends up being like >$30 a month or something. PlayOn + PlayLater is an app for your PC/Roku and it allows you to essentially DVR anything that streams on the internet (Hulu, Netflix, Project Free TV, ABC.com, NBC.com, etc.etc.) The HDTV Antenna depending on the size and quality you get allows you to watch your local programming for free just like you would back in the day if you were one of the unfortunate children to grow up without cable. The Roku box just allows you to stream all of that junk to your TV very easily. You could do without the RokU box assuming you had an HTPC already. Anyways I know it was a bit off subject, but I thought I would share. I am not sure how long Project Free TV will be around. Currently it is legal, but it is on the very shady side, so I can see it possibly getting shutdown in the future but for now it offers pretty much all content you can think of. The one downside to going this route though is you are going to be a day behind. Most things do not come online until the next day. For me though, I work the night shift and it really does not matter. I watch everything a day after everyone else anyways.
  8. I think the future of Chromecast will offer more. As I said before if you open files in the Chrome browser (ctrl+o) you can stream those over to the player. I have had zero issues with that so far. It is a bit lacking for apps right now though. I read that a lot more features and apps are to come though. For $30-35 dollars though you really can't beat it. What I like about it is that it fits into your pocket so I can take it to work and plug it in there and watch Hulu Plus on my break.
  9. Yeah needs external power. I was under the assumption HDMI had a voltage, but apparently it is either not enough or it just does not. It needs what I assume to be a 5v source. USB or it comes with a power cable.

    Whiskey

The Japanese whiskey was pretty tasty with an ice cube. I think it was something I could sip on however I did not like it as much as the Gentleman Jack. I will probably end up drinking it with Coke or some other soda. The scotch.. Wow.. I have never had scotch before so I don't even know where to begin or how to compare it... All I can say is "damn it was hot." It instantly warmed my insides.
  11. I just got one myself. I have been using it the last 2 days. Works pretty well. If you install the Chromecast extension in your Chrome browser you can hit Ctrl+O and open up video/music/etc files on your PC through Chrome and send it over to the TV. You can sort of get Amazon Instant video to work but you need to type chrome://plugins/ and disable Silverlight so Amazon Instant videos open up in Flash instead then those can be sent to your TV. I have had mixed results.. Sometimes it is super laggy and other times it works flawlessly (on Amazon Instant Video that is). I also picked up and installed an app called Avia on my phone. It allows you to stream any media on your phone to your TV. It also links to your Dropbox, FB, and Picasa (if anyone even uses that). It is a free app but for $2.99 you can get it ad free. Which I ended up just doing out of the gate cuz $3 bucks ain't no thang. I got really lucky too I have USB on my TV.. I was kind of dreading hooking the Chromecast up and running a power wire to the outlet.
  12. lol! Pretty cool! Not what I was expecting though. I fully expected the turkey to be cut in half with that amount of thermite.
  13. lol! This was awesome! I posted it on my Facebook wall a few mins ago!
  14. Thanks everyone! The lens I use the most is my 35MM f/1.8 I would assume that 90% of those photos are taken with that. The only other lens I use for night shots is my stock 18-55MM lens that came with my Nikon D5100. I went to The Headlands in Mackinaw City Michigan a few weeks back and I tried out my cheap Rokinon 8MM f/3.5 lens and I got a ton of vignetting on all of my night photos. I was pretty upset.. I actually have been reading about night photography since before I got the camera. With my 35MM I am quite confident that I can get a pretty decent photo of pretty much anything at night with it lol. My other lenses though I still need some work with. I recently picked up an 85MM f/1.8 really cheap as well. I have not had a chance to use it though. My D5100 has that cropped sensor so 85MM is actually like 100+MM so my field of view is quite small and I don't really like it for night photography. I am really wanting to splurge and buy really nice 14 or 18MM super fast lens just for my night shots. I really wish I did more research on my camera before I bought it. I would have just splurged and went with a full-framed sensor. I am currently looking at the Nikon D800E, but that is probably a couple years down the road since the body only is 2+grand. The rule of 600 is kind of hit and miss for me.using that theory with my 18mm I should be able to do 33 sec exposures before the stars begin to trail. If you look at my Flickr you can see some of the stars are just about perfect while others are slightly moved. I did however, buy all the parts to build a barndoor tracker. So the next time it is awesome outside I will be using this to track the sky so I don't have to worry about trailing.
  15. Haha! Thanks! I am currently downloading Adobe Lightroom I got the Student Edition for $80 on Amazon. I probably wont get a chance to mess with it for a bit though. Heading to NC in a couple days.
  16. Sweet dude! Thank you! I will try and get this for my birthday lol!
  17. Thanks guys! I shoot in RAW + JPEG. I open my NEF(RAW) files in ViewNX (Nikon's Software) and I always make sure I got my White Balance right. One of the best reasons to shoot in RAW lol! I will take a look at finding Lightroom and see what it is all about.
  18. y u no have majestic mustache? D: I ask myself the same thing. It just does not grow. I am working on it though.
  19. This is my current No Shave November photo!
  20. Wanted to post up a link to my photography. Kind of looking for feedback either it be good, bad, or indifferent I don't really care. I have been shooting for a year now. I got my DSLR last year about this time. I really dig night time photography as you will probably see when looking at my stuff. I really enjoy photographing stars. Tell me what you think. Maybe things I could do different/better? http://www.flickr.com/photos/psywar/ Thanks! I don't use Photoshop. I have yet to really learn how to use it. All of my photos are directly off of my camera added a watermark and then uploaded with no editing. The startrails I use startrails.exe to take my 100+ photos and compile them together. The HDR Shots are typically 3-5 photos taken at multiple exposures. Then tossed into Photomatix. This program compiles my HDR shots for me. I know if I could learn gimp or Photoshop I could probably end up with a better photo, but I just have not had any good luck trying to edit.

    Whiskey

Yeah there is Japanese Whiskey.. I have heard it is quite good.. I have been pondering the idea of ordering a bottle online.
  23. I don't much care for beer, but we do not have many choices here at our bars other than Bud, Bud Light, Bud Platinum, Sam Adams... I have tried and I still have almost a full case of Blue Moon Summer Harvest in my garage. I am however going to North Carolina the day after Thanksgiving for a week and I will be brewing my first Home brew. A friend of mine and I have created a special Porter. Going to contain Dr. Pepper. If it turns out good I will post the recipe for you guys who brew.
