ponchinGdl Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I only have one thing to say: WTF !!!! ... 3,602 on a 5870, enabling crossfire with 2 5870 doesnt change the score, removed one card and nothing, same score, what is wrong?? Also MSI kombustor shows the same score.
Nyt Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Heres my new GTX480 score : http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/furmark_score_180.php?id=895ebfd431c4b5aa03d30b665249db3d Got the core up to 898mhz , the shader to 1796mhz and the memory to 2400mhz on 1.113mv . I think 13394 is pretty good on this card , yeah this benchmark isn't CPU dependant .
Nyt Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 I think im taking this competition a little too seriously I've been benchmarking for the last 3 hours . My new score : http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/furmark_score_180.php?id=8a118c2fd4c366cd96b43bb376419740 At 898mhz,1796mhz and 2475mhz I got 13580 . I think Im maxing the card out , as a last resort , I can up my score about 200-400 points but that takes too much time , maybe this weekend I will. Does your motherboard support Crossfire? Are your PCI-e slots 16x? I think im taking this competition a little too seriously I've been benchmarking for the last 3 hours . I had everything (core, shader and memory) within 1 mhz of a BSOD to get my score, which is still pretty decent for a 4 year old card. Crossfire works fine in games, just finished metro 2033 at 1680 x 1050 in very high dx11 and i have crysis at 1680 x 1050 at very high settings (2x AA) with a single 5870. I noticed that during the test gpu utilization was at 40% , catalyst drivers are up to date and even with just one card installed the score would not go up so i dont think its a crossfire issue, card is running stock so no overclocking issues either, cpu is 4ghz and memory 1600 so no bottleneck issues (i guess, is there a way to verify this?). Games are running fine and thats what counts, im gonna try some other benchmarking tools just to verify, i guess furmark dont like my PC
Nyt Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 Last time I checked , LGA1156 ran the PCI-E at 16x and 8x or 8x and 8x , maybe the benchmark is subjective to that .

ponchinGdl Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 did you use the multi-gpu client?? I used both, multigpu with crossfire enabled gives the same score as the single gpu test, i even physically removed one of the cards and ran the single gpu test and the score is the same (wich is very low even for a single 5870). My motherboard has 2 x16 pcie, one at x16 and the other at x8 and i checked to see i was using the x16, so far everything seems to be installed correctly but the score remains the same. Gonna do some further testing when i get home.
ponchinGdl Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 ok problem fixed, first i had vsync forced thru CCC so i disabled it and that solved the single gpu problem but crossfire didnt work, i found that i had checked the DISABLE CATALYST A.I option so i unchecked that and crosffire started working, so my new score is 9094 for single 5870 and 15325 for dual 5870. 1 5870 2 5870 crossfire
