Avinexis Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 (edited) StoneGiant DX11 Benchmark BitSquid and Fatshark are excited to announce that the Stone Giant demo, using the upcoming DirectX11 game engine BitSquid Tech, is available for immediate download. Key features of the BitSquid Tech (PC version) include: # Highly parallel, data oriented design # Support for all new DX11 GPUs, including the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 400 Series and AMD Radeon 5000 series # Compute Shader 5 based depth of field effects # Dynamic level of detail through displacement map tessellation # Stereoscopic 3D support for NVIDIA 3dVision Taken from firingsquad.com EDIT: Gave it a go. Was a pain to install but I put that down to my virus protection. It looks Awesome. Doesn't tax my card as much as Unigine even though the Tesselation looks intense. As far as the benchmark goes, it's only a rendered scene with a performance test latched on (if you can find the readme to get the commands, which took me 15 minutes). Not overly impressed, but I guess it's still pretty cool, for what it is. EDIT EDIT: A few pics My scores running at 1920 x 1080, DoF diffusion off, tesselation at high: This is the scene you get when you press 1 on the Keyboard: This is the same scene with wireframe mode turned on, and tesselation turned off, at medium and at high, respectively: And I said the tesselation was tame Edited May 11, 2010 by Danrik

Avinexis Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 Yeah it's a pain in the backside. I think it was the enter key. Not entirely sure anymore. There's a list of key bindings in a text file in the Stonegiant install directory though.
