And... I feel so lucky for being born in Canada. :( Sorry for that, mate.

lol its okay, ill be moving to canada some day anyway! :D Thanks for the Screenshots, they helped clear a few things as to how to approach going up and beyond 4ghz :)

Unfortunaltly though Ive hit that wall which cant be passed no matter what. I Spent All day from the minute i woke up till now (8 hours+ straight) trying to Get 4ghz but its no good. I cant raise the CPU-NB Frequency beyond 2000 at 3.9ghz no matter what i try (Bumping CPU-NB voltage, HT link and Voltage ect..) Tried all the different combinations i could think of from 19.5 multi-205 Fsb all the way to 17.5/229

I Think i've tried every trick in the book, but it wont budge a penny past 3.9 :angry2: its not temps because it never goes above 45C so i guess its because of my DDR2 memory and/or am2+ GX motherboard <_<

Alas.. i Finally yield, i had a good run while it lasted, and now i know my BIOS inside out so ill be much more proficient at overclocking when i upgrade and get my hands on some new hardware. :)

By the way, MSI's new 1.9 BIOS allows you to 'unlock' the 3rd and 4th cores on CPU's, obviously i have no use for that option but have you tried anything like that on your X2?

No that Athlon is my Phenom II X4 965 with two locked cores; didn't you notice it had L3? As for MSI's unlock feature, it's nothing new. Gigabyte, ASUS and many others have this feature for a long time now.

Yeah, the two 4870's in my sig. It probably says 500mhz because I'm guessing that is the reference clock speed. The clock speed of my particular 4870's (the Sapphire Toxic variety), are stock overclocked to 780mhz.

The stock clocked HD 4870s are at 750MHz. :) I'm adding you right now. :)

Edit: Oh no... one position ahead of me in Vantage... :( Good job :)

My bad, wasn't sure about the 4870's. Hah, just OC a few hundred mhz and I'm sure you'll have me again. But then again I've barely even tried oc'ing my cards...
