rourkchris Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 Yeah lol the criterias for getting a good score are odd a bit... Can't you beat my E7300/8800GT? Hehe, i7 FTL! I think I'll keep my i7 no matter the score.

pezcore Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 (edited) Small update for me! I OC'd my processor to 3.0 GHz (which OC'd my RAM to 900MHz) but had to leave the GPU alone for now (crashed ) and gained ~1000 3DMarks! *edit - ORB Link http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=1416198 Edited September 16, 2009 by pezcore
Mikesnow Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 So finally got my i7 machine together and somewhat running lol, mostly just waiting on my W7U to come in the mail, before I get to into it, but figured I'd get some baseline scores in for it. 3dVantage : 25619

Mikesnow Posted September 16, 2009 Posted September 16, 2009 (edited) Sorry man I can't tell if you used PhysX or not. Just to clarify the difference in PPU on and Off scores: Scores using PhysX Processing Units, actualy say the score was with a PPU enabled, PPU Enabled Score Example if it don't say " "Disable PPU" option. " at the end then it just means they haven't verified your new drivers yet. The ORB links are pretty much the only true way to verify if someone used a PPU or not, because it actully scans the system and knows if it's on or not, and will state so on the score card. With the drivers any new driver release it takes them a little time to verify that it is not a hacked driver. Here is the driver not validated score, better then my previous one as well, now with the CPU running at just above stock speed. Gained roughly 2k 3dmark points. Mikesnow Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 3dvantage : 29103 soon as i figure out how to get my gfx cards past 690mhz I think i'll break the 30k mark. Was so much easier to get them to 725 before on the nForce chipset, oh well still learning this x58 crap, Should get there soon. IDK but the score is high a bit for a 3500MHz i7 and only a dual-card setup...
rourkchris Posted September 17, 2009 Posted September 17, 2009 Just throwing my 2 cents in here but when I compare my score with Bigfwd69's our Physics score is nearly identical mine/his 32.19/32.46 operations per socond. I use ATI cards with no PhysX so if he had PhysX enabled his whould be higher? CPU scores were 26037/25089. Usually an extremely high CPU score indicates PhysX was enabled which it doesn't appear to be in this case.
