Motherboard Help

[Mesasone]

I hope im posting this in the right forum, if not please move to correct place

 

Ok, so i want to upgrade my computer with a new motherboard and im not exactly sure on what to get, and if their are certain ones i cant get because of the sytem i have now as far as compatibility and so forth

 

here are the information i dug up hope it helps

currently i own

Gateway AMD Athlon

processor speed:848

Motherboard: i assume its genereic

Ram: 256 MB generic, i couldnt find a brand it might be rd ram

Videocard: Nvidida geforce2 gts/geforec2 pro
