  1. Go and make sure you like how the cameras feel in your hands first!!! When i started to get really serious into photography a big tip that i got before i commited to cannon or nikon was to go see which felt better to hold. I HATED THE CANNONS. It really makes a HUGH difference when you have to hold them for hours on end. I shot all of the sports games for my high school and also spent countless hours just walking around town taking photos. Made some nice cash from senior pictures as well. I shoot with a d40 and a d80 and I use a f1.8 50mm, a 18-70 kit lense (which is really sharp for what i use it for) and then the old 80-200 f2.8 that stays on my d80. When i'm shooting an event or something similar I have my d80 with the 2.8 zoom and then my d40 with the 18-70. This lets me cover a huge focal range without having to switch lenses
  2. I absolutely love my auzentech card. I would stay far far far away from the x-fi stuff. Its horrible as far as Hi-fi goes. I've put new opamps on my card and am running all analog with some cables I made using Canare star quad cable running to a pioneer amp then to speakers i built (check out zaphaudio.com I made 2 pairs of the zbm4's).
  3. i have a pair of sennheiser hd280's and I really like them. But after spending some time with some 650's i need a new pair. I did just design an amp that i'm going to build shortly. it uses a burr brown opa2134 with an active ground from a tle2426. I am about to etch the board and solder stuff on once i get the last couple of parts (still need some nichicon caps). I was surprised at how small i managed to get it using 805 smd components its about 1.25x1 inches
  4. I'm going to have to show this to my java professor lol
  5. I dont think so. That usually just has some testing and backup utilities. This would usually come with your motherboard. I'm not sure if thats how they do it now though
  6. With xp you usually have to have a flopppy or something with the SATA drivers to get it to see the drives on install. There is an option before windows setup starts loading stuff to load hdd drivers
  7. thats why you pay for the best graphics option possible when ordering a laptop. You can upgrade the hdd, ram, drives, battery, most of the time the processor, but the gpu is a nogo.
  8. the phenom II can be used in an am2+ mobo with ddr2 ram. I just picked up a phenom 2 710 with a gigabyte am2+ mobo and 4gb of ddr2 ram for 285$ (heres the mobo http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...82E16813128379)
  9. I'm going carrier. lol There is nothing I would rather do. The girls that are hobbys arn't the ones that you will keep.
  10. well i have an air force fitness test on wednesday and i will probably do about 50 in the 60 seconds i have to do push ups
  11. Ok I ordered a phenom II 710 the gigabyte GA-MA78GM-US2H and that OCZ Reaper memory I'm at Iowa State University for Electrical Engineering and I'm doing AirForce ROTC aswell. So I will have a great job as an officer as soon as I graduate
  12. Sadly if I waited it would be a wait until summer. No income until then... Gota love college
  13. Yeah when I upgrade its going to be to what ever DFI's top of the line is That msi looks decent but the reviews say the bios is limited
  14. under 90 if possible. I will jump up at a better board this summer when i get home and get a job. I did just find this bundle but I dont know anything about this board http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDet...st=Combo.162059 nvm its cheaper with that gigabyte board which is what i was originally going to get anyway.
