  1. Happy Holidays everyone,.. you are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.
  2. +1 dling,.. I installed it on my gaming system last week, and so far seems fine.
  3. Hello everyone, I'm still checking this site a few times a week. And I do miss all the overclocking threads, and also Guest_Jim_*'s science-y posts. I just started a new RL build today, waiting on some custom cooling parts to arrive from BARTXstore. https://bartxstore.com/ I received memory kit F4-4800C17D-16GVK B-die, Samsung 980 Pro, and the new Z590 DARK today,.. vary sweet looking board. https://imgur.com/a/Fds4RIu
  4. Hello Capo, I recommend building vs buying a new pc. However nowadays patience is a virtue if you are going with current gen hardware, you need to shop around and do not limit your search to just USA, or local Micro Center for hardware. Make up a budget, and compile a list of hardware you want than decide what you truly need now, to stay in your budget. To save your budget try to use something you already own or have on the shelf even if it is only temporary till you find what you want new, upgrade down the road when you can. I just built an HTPC for web browsing & streaming video's and spent $800 on hardware. Basically I needed four items,.. Chassis, Cooler, PSU, and CPU. On the shelf I have motherboards, graphics cards, system memory, and primary/storage SSD's. For this HTPC I'm running iGPU for web browsing and streaming video, that is where the patience comes into play, as you will need a graphics card up front for gaming and that is going to be like finding hens teeth currently for a 30-series card. I can list the hardware I bought to give you an idea for cost,.. just bear in mind this HTPC was built to be compact/quiet using an ATX board I already had on the shelf, and generate vary little heat,.. while still being plenty fast. Chassis: Silverstone GDO9B. $98.65 UK. Cooler: Noctua NH-U9s Chromax Black, 3x120mm Chromax fans, 2x80mm Chromax fans. $381.85 US. PSU: Seasonic SSR-600TL. $233.08 US. CPU: Intel Pentium Gold G6605. $95.00 UK. With Windows 10 Pro 64-Bit $157.67 US,.. your not getting much change back from a thousand dollars. Everything else I had on the shelf. You can find a much cheaper power supply, I wanted fanless and wanted to be able to upgrade iGPU down the road if needed so I bought the crazy expensive 600W unit. The G6605 CPU for $95.00 was the cheapest item I bought, and it really surprised me with how fast it is only being 2-cores and using only 58W power.
  5. A few things you can try to fix Firefox suddenly not remembering logins or passwords when feature is enabled in the privacy and security settings,.. first reinstall Adobe Flash, than check legacy extensions and confirm Firefox has indeed disabled DivX Web player, if not than disable it and test. If your still having issues than you will need to determine if any password add-ons/programs is what is causing issue,.. Start Firefox in Safe Mode to confirm issue is gone when in safe mode. If issue is gone in safe mode than you will need to return to normal mode, and open your Add-ons Manager, select Extensions. Disable a few add-ons, restart Firefox, test,.. If the issue continues, disable some more (restarting FF). Continue till issue is gone. After, you know what group is causing the issue, Re-enable the last group one at a time (restarting FF) until the issue returns. Once you have confirmed the problem add-on, disable that and re-enable all others, than restart again.
  6. Nvidia Control Panel, System Information, Display: will also confirm Resizable BAR working.
  7. Found a big card to go with that big monitor, the new RTX 4090 and RTX 4090Ti were reviewed yesterday. Nvidia still has a few bugs to work out before release.
  8. Fingers crossed going to give it a go now, see if Re-Size support works with Cyberpunk 2077,.. Kirk will enjoy having another 10-20 FPS increase.
  9. I enabled it on Z490 Extreme with new BIOS 2101, ran a few benchmarks everything is solid. Sweet!
  10. If you haven't already pulled the trigger on the X8ST3-F board, see if you can find a good deal on a new Asus P6T7 WS Supercomputer,.. https://www.asus.com/my/Motherboards/P6T7_WS_SuperComputer/
  11. Vary nice performance boost! Well that explains why I can not see anything in Windows with the 3090, dang it! looks like your going to be doing a lot of retesting in a few months, most boards will support Re-Size BAR with RTX 30 series cards after Nvidia releases VBIOS update in March. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/news/geforce-rtx-30-series-resizable-bar-support/#:~:text=New GeForce RTX graphics cards, graphics cards starting in March.
  12. I might need to update PCI drivers or install an update from Nvidia, after enabling Re-Size Bar Support in BIOS, Bar support is not showing in Windows when I checked.
  13. On my system I go to Advanced\PCI Subsystem Settings, and Enable Above 4G Decoding, than the Re-Size BAR Support option appears with option to run in Auto or Disabled. Than go to Boot section and confirm CSM is Disabled, and everything is good to go.
  14. Took me 10 min to get out of the garage, first time I played, and got shot, flattened within 15 min. There does not seem to be a Benchmark Tool with in the PC game, that sucks, perhaps they will add it later.
  15. Upgraded to RTX 3090 FE, going to see what fps I get at 3440 x 1440,.. was getting a dismal 50fps with 2080ti. http://www.3dmark.com/spy/16964375
