  1. What kind of cooling performance would I get from the "WindForce 2X Anti-turbulence-Parallel" by Gigabyte? Gigabyte 6870 Don't know how fast I'm going to be able to get the rest of the money I need to buy myself the GTX 560 TI So I'm going to hope for the best and continue doing research. I'm now also checking out the normal GTX 560. But I see the 6870 outperforms the normal GTX 560 so I doubt that I will go with it. Benchmarks confirm that the GTX 560 is on the same level as the 6850. I'm pretty sure I'll have the money ready in three months max. Already have 60% of it Just hoping for the best. My first choice is the 560 TI but I guess I'll go with the 6870 If I miss this offer. You guys are great. Love reading all the info your giving me. Learning allot about GPUs. So thanks! Keep em coming
  2. Wow the 560 TI is a great card! Even outperforms the 6950 and 6970 in some games! This review with benchmarks helped allot! Benchmarks 560TI ATI6870 etc. Now I just want to know if the brand of the card is going to make a difference? I want to buy the Inno3D GTX 560 TI It comes with a 2 year warranty. Will I get the same performance from the Inno3D GPU asif from another brand name GPU. Also saw the difference between the 6950 1GB and 6950 2GB. Allot of video memory bottlenecks your performance. The 1GB outperformed the 2GB. So I dont care anymore about the whole 2GB thing anymore.
  3. THANK YOU so much! 560ti VERY tempting. Have to thank you for linking me to local [south African] suppliers, really helps me allot. Regards
  4. Thanks for all the info guys. Will help me with my purchase, thinking of going with the 2GB GPU as it will be future proof.
  5. At the moment I'm running at 1440x900. Doubt that I will ever go above 1080x1920. Crossfire? No I wont be. My mobo does support it but my second PCIe port is only x18. Wont get enough out of a second card. Also is WAY out of my budget. Will have to upgrade my PSU and so on to be able to do that. So no. No, I don't think I will be doing the whole eyefinity thing. Don't like it... What advantages will i get if i go with a 2GB GPU? [To my understanding, I will be able to render larger maps and set my view distance to the max. Games like Arma have massif maps.] Thanks for the link. There is another good South African web store "Nivo". Check it out.
  6. Hey guys. I finally almost have enough money to upgrade my GPU and need some help making this big decision. I have my eyes on the ATI Radeon series. I'm from South Africa and hardware is much more expensive on this side than in the US. I'm thinking of getting the ATI Radeon HD6850 2GB @ R 1,939.00 [$251.00] OR ATI Radeon HD6870 1GB @ R 2,209.00 [$286.00] I like playing games like GTA IV and ARMA II. What would you guys suggest? I'm not thinking of overclocking my GPU just yet as I like to stay safe under warranty. Thanks in advance everyone!
  7. Hey guys, hope you had a awesome New Year. I'm getting my 1055T next week and have to decide what CPU Cooler I'm going to buy with it as I'm getting the "retail" version of the 1055T. I'm doing a stock check with the supplier on the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo but I'm also considering getting the Arctic Cooling Freezer 13. Is there a big difference between these two coolers? Also not sure if the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo will fit in my Mid ATX case.
  8. Only overclocking I'm considering is to overclock the 2.8Ghz - 3.4GHz AMD PHENOM II x6 1055T
  9. Already bought it. I'm not planning on doing any crossfire upgrades soon.
  10. Thanks for helping me out with the processor confusion. I just saw a awesome deal on a Cooler Master eXtreme Power Plus 700w PSU (RS-700-PCAA-E3) for $70. Do you guys think its worth it?
  11. Got my new hardware but just realised I have a AMD Athlon 64 x2 and not a Athlon II YEAH, dont know how I missed that. So now I wont be able to use my new hardware [Motherboard/RAM] till I get a new processor. So now I'm doing a bit of research and I have noticed something weird: What is the difference between these two 1055T processors? Edit: All difference I notice is the L3 6MB cache.
  12. So I made my first order on Tuesday, I'm now waiting for my Corsair XMS3 2 x 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 and Asus AMD 870 Socket AM3 ATX Motherboard (M4A87TD EVO) to be delivered to the supplier. Thanks for the help guys. Will keep in touch with you all with all my up coming upgrades.
  13. Thanks for all the help, the supplier is out of stock with the Kingston HyperX, but the do have Corsair XMS3 2 x 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 Desktop. So what do you guys say? Must I go for it? Might even go for the "GeIL Black Dragon Dual Channel 2 x 4GB 1600MHz DDR3". the two main brands I'm considering is Kingston and Corsair.
  14. Hello there and thank you for the welcome. Corsair TX650 v2 $125.00 / 1089ZAR
