  1. Ok, this happens sometimes, now and again i will run a program and then all of a sudden a message shell.dll not found pops up and asks me to click ok, so i do and continue useing the program, once it randomly restarted my machine when i clicked ok, and another time it shut down the program i was working with, and help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. Yes, i would just like a tool could use to monitor traffic on my network, from my workstation, and i know i could block the ports that she is using, but i would hear nothing but whining all the time, the program she uses is called overnet which uploads while it downloads, and it shows at the top that she is downloading at 9kb/s and freaking 24kb/s upload, i use comcast people i only get 30kb/s upload, she is killing my internet, and i tried going into the options of this lame program and it says u can limit the upload rate, but then i do that and it says its still uploading at the same rate. yeah i think im at a loss i guess i will have to imposse a downloading time and a no download time.
  3. hahaha, oh my god u hit the nail right on the head, she has this program that uploads while downloading, and it is killing the internet for me, and since i do alot of internet gameing and web work, i need the bandwidth. ah that is funny im glad im ot the only one feeling this pain.
  4. ok, i need a network tool that can monitor and limit bandwidth usage on the network, or shut it off even for certian users, i was wondering if anyone knew of any, that would be great. thnx
  5. yeah i forgot to mention that i did that, he screwed up on that part of the setup he was supposed to have the hdd hooked up to IDE0 and the CD to IDE1. and it came with 4 new IDE cables which was weird, so we tried all of those and yeah i still dont know.
  6. EDIT: thanks for the help the problem has been solved he just hooked something up wrong. ok first of all this is what myfriend has: GIGABYTE K8NS Pro nforce3 250 socket 754 AMD Athlon 64 2800+ 512 ddr corsair 3200 ATI Radeon 9200 64mb 40gb wd 420 psu Ok this is what is going on, he hooked this up all himself, everything is in the right place cause i double checked his configuration, and it was fine and dandy, so we started it up, but during post it took an extremely long time to detect the IDE cables, then we tried booting to a windows xp pro cd and to reformat the drive and install windows, but when ever we get to the phase when u are done loading the default drivers for the setup and it says starting windows, if freezes, so i tried another disk same dang thing, i tried boot disk, same thing. Also when we reboot it doesnt do a memmory test and it wont detect his burning on the ide cable as slave. so what should we do, im at a loss, im thinking about just uplugging everything and do it myself any ideas.
  7. Ok, so i have overclocked my CPU from 1.9 - 2.2, now that is with the FSB at 140, and the vcore at 1.65, and my memory is running at 7:3:3, now what it does if i move it past 140 is that it boots up and right when it is about to go to the windows load screen, it reboots, So have i reached my limit?
  8. Ah still a little of problem i can get the fsb to 145 with the vcore at 1.70 but the fsb wont go any higher so is that as far as i can go???
  9. Success!!! u have to set every option to be user defined in the bios i dont know why it wasnt working before but eh oh well. I have it OCed from 1997.0 to 2188.0 with an FSB of 145.3 mhz and the Vcore voltage at 1.712. Thanks guys for all your help and any sudjestions on a good testing program to see if it is stable. thanks again guyz
  10. not sure about the T-bred A or B, how would i tell, and Kingston 512ddr pc2700
  11. Ah indeed, i forgot to mention that i did put that to aggessive too, the cpu interface that is, and it still wont budge past post. and it isnt v2, its the oldie
  12. yup before windows, hence it wont let me go past post, and sorry aboot the new thread, delete it if i could.
  13. Ok, I have tried to oc this board and it is starting to get on my nervs, i go into the bios, advanced chipset features, and there are 3 features for cpu overclocking, optimal / Aggessive / user defined, so first i selected aggessive, because it states use this setting to allow for overclocking of the FSB/CPU, so i up the FSB from 133-166, and reboot thinking sweet its gonna work "WRONG" the bios wont go past post and tells me to go into the bios and change it back. Ok so now i select user defined which gives me a better range to choose from the just 100mhz / 133mhz / 166mhz. so i move it from 133 - 140 first, doesnt work, then i try 133 - 150, no go, then i try from 133 - 166, no go, then i try the multiplier while i up the FSB from 7.0 x 15.0 to 9.0 - 17.0, no go. If there is anyone out there that has had a successfull oc with this board help would be much appreiciated, or maybe my hardware just cant handle it, which i know it can, be oced, plz help and thnx in advance.
  14. yeah dood, i am haveing the same problem ocing my board, its a great board as u know, but for some reason the motha doesnt want to accept our changes or has this build in feature that wont let us. if u get it to work tell me.
