  1. I think I'm gonna grab the MSI board cause it's a bit cheaper than the Asus plus I'll just overclock the 2500k up to 4.2ghz only. Inno3d is much less than Palit but I'm grabbing the Palit GTX570 sonic cause it has dual fans. I have two HDD, a Seagate 1tb and WD blue 1Tb which currently I'm using on my old rig.
  2. Right now I'm using the CM690 II. It's an excellent mid tower case and I've put up 7 x 120mm fan and one (1) 140mm exhaust fan. Setup is below intake and upper one's exhaust.
  3. Hi everyone, I need help about PSU requirement. I will be buying my new rig and these will be the setup: Corei5 2500K (will be overclocking) Asus P8P67 Pro or MSI P67A-GD65 2 x 2gb ddr3 1600 Corsair Corsair A70 Cpu cooler Inno3D or Palit GTX 570 (single card only) 2 x 1Tb Hdd I was wondering if my old Silverstone ST60F-P 600W will be sufficient enough? I will be installing it on my old mid tower CoolerMaster CM690 II Plus with 8 x 120mm exhaust fan. I was planning on getting HEC Cougar 700w but I'm having second thought. Please I need some helpful advice. Thanks....
  4. Thanks guys for the replies. Yeah I think I'm gonna get a monitor that supports 1920 x 1080. I read about MSI mobo and the P67A-GD65-B3 will be a good idea to get. I'm gonna grab the Inno3D GTX560Ti and a new 850W PSU. Thanks a bunch....
  5. Hello and pleasant good day to everyone. I really need some good advice about building an upgrade rig. My choice parts are the following: Corei5 2500k ( Will be OCing) Thermaltake Frio Mobo Asrock P67-Pro3 8 x 2GB DDR3 1600 G.Skill RipJaws X CL9 Palit GTX 570 1280Mb 320Bit GDDR5 or Inno3d GTX560 Ti I will be using my old PSU Silverstone Strider 600W and my monitor samsung 18.5" (1360 x 768). I do have plan for cpu overclocking and 2500k is said to be the best choice. I will be using it mainly for gaming purposes only and I'm quite tight on the budget. My question is will I have great performance with these choices I made? Should I get the GTX570 or GTX560? And also will my psu 600w will be sufficient enough? By the way I'll be installing 2 x 1 TB HDD and 8 exhaust fan for my CM690 Plus II casing which currently I'm using it with my old quadcore.
  6. Hi everyone. Recently I just bought two Inno3D GTX460 192bit 768mb. I wanna do an SLI with these on my upcoming system Corei7 950 (Will be overclocking) Msi x58 pro-E, 6gb 1333 ddr3, 2 x 1Tb Hdd. Right now I have a Silverstone strider Plus 600W I was thinking could this psu be able to handle my upcoming system or do i need to get atleast a 700W PSU?
  7. I haven't tried the V10 yet but considering the amount of space it's too large plus the weight which could stress out the motherboard. I'll go for the H70.
  8. Wow at 4.0ghz, that's something. Love to crank up that high but I do have my limits, I mean pc parts here ain't that cheap even for a low end cpu. Maybe I'm good at 3.2ghz for now. I'll be upgrading to Corei7 in 3 months from now just saving up all the money i can. Thank you everybody for the good advices.
  9. Thanks for the reply. Actually I had it already Oc to 3.2ghz. Yes I am using a Deep Cool Ice Edge 400Ni as my cpu cooler. Prime95 full load temp is just under 51 degress Celsius at ambient 30 degress celcius. Core voltage is in auto and it doesn't even go near 1.2v. I have a good motherboard that is Asus P5Q SE Plus, it's a good overclocker board. I was just curious if anyone had it more than 3.2ghz and what were the proper adjustment needed to get it stable. I haven't tried adjusting the fsb more than 400 cause if things go wrong I pretty much don't know what to do.
  10. Hi everyone I'm new here and when it comes to overclocking I'm a newbie. I was wondering if any of you guys ever Oc a Q8400 passed 3.2ghz? I would like to know and maybe share some thought on how you did it and made it stable? I know Q8400 is not that great cpu but I would appreciate if someone would teach me how to tweak passed the 3.2 mark.
