  1. Yes, my memory is running below stock, so that should't be the problem
  2. Hi guys, I have bought an p5p43td pro, but i can't seem to get any more than fsb 1520 out of it. i have a q6600, wich is currently running at 380*9=3,4 ghz. when i want to get an fsb of 1600 i set 400*8 = 3,2, but my system is bootunstable, but when booted it's actually stable in prime? it can't be the cpu, because it runst stable at 3,4. i have tried raising the nb voltag to 1,25 sb voltage to 1,6 vtt cpu to 1,3 i guess it has something to do with the "(o.c.)" on the box. on the box it sais fsb 1600 (o.c.) How can i get an fsb of 1600?
  3. doesn't look like luck is on my side.... gets stuck somewhere between 1403 and 1443 @ 1,65v, tha's not enought perfomance gain if you compare it to how much i have to downclock my q6600. It does boot bios, but when starting windows, i get a bsod You think there is any possibility to get q6600 past 3,6 or even 4 ghz while running the memory just at or below stock? cause i'm worried about the absolute max voltage of the cpu. i'm currently running 380*9 @ 1,45v in bios, temps are no problem yet. (cnps9900 cooler) what voltage should i set to get it running at 3,6?
  4. Stock is 1,5v. Than i'll try to reach 1533 with 1,65v. I'll be back in 15 min with the result.
  5. Thanks for the deleting and reply. Okay, than lets hope luck is on my side. What is the voltage is should aim for? and even more important, what is the max voltage i can use without making toast?
  6. Hi guys, specs: q6600 @ 3,4 (380x9) (1,45v) p5p43td PRO Corsair xms3 ddr3 1333 2x2GB @ 1266 (8-8-8-18) i'm trying to get my memory to a higher clock, because it's running under 1333 at the moment. I't running 1266mhz right now, but i would like to get it to run at 1533. What is the best way and what are the best settings to achieve this? Thanks in advance, Laulie srry, just realised that i posted in the wrong section.
  7. Yes, that's what i initialy started with, but than my system became glitchy, not unstable, but just jumpy, weird sounds, artefacts that was when my ram 1:1, so now i changed the timings, and that did the thing. It also sounds weird to me, but it helps.
  8. Okay, thank you. But while i was in bios, i saw that my timings were just as before (the older, slower ones). I guess that's because Memset changes the timings only when it runs in windows. So i changed the settings in bios, and now i don't need the Memshit anymore. Problem solved. But thanks for the reply. Laulie
  9. Hello everyone, I don't know if anyone else has a similar problem, but this one kinda frustrates me. Yesterday i tried some other clock/ram settings, for those of you curious: Q6600 fsb:ram 1:1 fsb: 380 multiplier 9 ram timings using memset: 4-4-4-4-12 (stock: 5-5-5-5-18) So yesterday i also ran the prime, and some benchmarks. I was amazed, since i reached an average of 72fps on Napoleon total war, and an average of 47,7fps on the crysis benchmark (cpu stress test). So when i ran those games today, using the same settings as yesterday (above), now suddely my fps has dropped to about 20 in both games. This is not good. So Does anyone know a solution to this "bug"? grtz. Laulie
  10. Thanks for the reaction, but unfortunatly, i'm unable to open the link. It sais : rederectingat.com not found
  11. Hi guys, Im into the overkclocking for a while now, but i thing that there is some confusion (not only with me) about all the fuss about the temperatures. So i have a few questions. First of all, what is Tjunction Tjunction max Tcase Tcase max Also i have found some temperatures on the site of intel, about the max temp of my chip. But again, is this the Tjunction, Tcase, or the temp of the cores 0 - 3, as i read them in speedfan? I have the G0 stepping. this are my speedfan settings, but again, which number represents wich temperature? System specifications: P5B motherboard intel core 2 quad q6600 (G0) I hope that my question is clear and that some of you are able to answer it. thanks, Laulie
  12. Hello everyone, My problem is solved, i now have a happy Q6600 running at 3,5 Thanks to the guide of boinker. I forgot my RAM timings, but that's all fixed now. Thanks again.
  13. Here are my temps, i have a Zalman CNPS9900 as cooler. cpu: 20C Core0 38C core1 39C core2 35C core3 34C this is after 5 min. of prime. But what can be the problem that prevents me from getting a higher clock than 2,7 Yes, i tried your method once, but it didn't work, the comp. wouldn't boot. What is the voltage needed with those settings? grtz.
  14. Hi guys, I have a little bit of a problem, i have the Q6600 (G0), but i can't get it past 2,7 Ghz (9x300) because than it goes unstable in prime. I have tried a higher voltage, but i think that 1,5V is a little bit extreme to get my chip to run higher than 2,7 Ghz. My RAM is also not the problem, because i have it detached. Some people could get at like 3.2 Ghz on stock cooling, and a voltage below 1.5, so i should be able to get at least past 3,5, right? Is it possible that my motherboard (P5B) could be the limmiting factor? Does anyone have any idea how to get past my 2,7 Ghz? Thanks,
