  1. Hey I need a clarification on something Ive got XP32 in my system for now, becuase I was waiting for newegg to throw in the free win7 upgrade coupon to windows vista (which newegg now has) so I can get 2 birds with one stone. I've used memory on Windows XP/ When I install vista, will I get all the memory in my machine or will the memory I've used with XP be deducted? I dont think this will happen but a bit of clarification would be nice. I dont do OS changes often, or screw with memory. Im usually the guy with the graphics/sound/mobo advice.
  2. The coolermaster V8 will fit in an Antec 902. IVe heard wonderful things about Lian Li. But i've never actually bought a case of theirs. All I can tell you is that Antec and Cooler Master make wonderful cases.
  3. Depending on whether you need the space or not, for a mid-tower, Im using an Antec 902. Pros -Great airflow throughout case -Large for a mid-tower -Black Interior matches exterior -Your "window" for viewing -Lots of fans (230mm "Big Boy" exhaust fan on top near CPU throws alot of air out of the case even when on low) -Made of metal + Plastic, really durable. -Dust filters on front fans make things easy to clean -Power Supply on bottom -Quiet, even when fans on medium (High is noticeable in a quiet room), but who the hell needs to go past medium. -Cable management system is wonderful. Cons -Heavy (not ideal for a LAN case) -IF using SLi or Crossfire, the case can get cramped. - Dust filters can be hard to get to sometimes -Not a toolless case -If your cables aren't long enough, the running them underneath may be tight. IF you need the space, go with an Antec 1200 (The 902, but bigger [adds 3 drive bays]) or a Cooler Master HAF932. Easily the best airflow you can get. IF you want the best airflow, and a really unique case, go with the Antec Skeleton.
  4. Thanks, I'll check that out and also, thanks for the heads-up. I was going to use the BIOS anyways, because I didn't know TurboV allowed you to manually increase BCLCK speed (LOL!) but that would have defenitely been an attractive option.
  5. Thanks for the quick reply. Ill look into cooling options. And yeah, im impressed with it so far. My only future upgrades when I get the $ will be perhaps another GTX260 and a new PSU (and of course the OC + Cooler on the CPU)
  6. Greetings Ive recently purchased a new rig, and am looking to overclock the CPU. Im not interested in extreme overclocking, but rather just a slight increase to 3.2GHz for gaming. Im worried about damaging things, and am new to overclocking (I know how to do it, but have never done it). 3.2GHz looks to be around 160BCLCK - Would I need to add more power to the CPU? I currently have no cooling in my rig other than stock. Ive got an Antec 902 case, with a 230mm top fan, two frontal fans, a side fan and 2 fans on the back of the tower. There is signifigant air flow throughout the case. Ive read articles, but they haven't gotten me anywhere. Can any seasoned overclockers help me with this? My rig should be in my sig or on my profile, but ill post it here just incase.
