#2146479 AMD's Video Card Market Share Continues to Drop to NVIDIA

every single PS4, xbox one and wii-U are using AMD graphics. I dont understand how these fools are so in debt and going bankrupt.

#2093468 PsP games are so cheap! buy one!

Posted by potatochobit on 30 June 2013 - 02:48 PM

wow, I just bought a used PSP and I can't believe how cheap the games are

we are talking about 5-10$ each

I know the system is very old now, but the good news is I have 6 years of games to choose from, lol

and they are all used and cheap!

it's like the steam summer sale but it's on everyday at gamestop!

#2063042 what to get

Posted by potatochobit on 21 November 2012 - 08:13 PM

you are talking about max performance - unless you work for NASA you probably dont need

checking email and watching youtube, AMD fusion is the best value

#2035945 Just another soundcard thread!

Posted by potatochobit on 01 July 2012 - 11:47 PM

pffft motherboard onboard is for sissies

what you need is a sound card with headphone amp output
5.1 is overrated unless your TV is hooked up to it

Looking for SSDs at bestbuy is probably a waste of time
get one at newegg, tiger or microcenter

#1970366 Why, TrendNET? Why?

Posted by potatochobit on 09 November 2011 - 11:13 AM

Why are you blaming Trendnet for a problem obviously created by and should be fixed by - microsoft

you may not know this, but even Windows XP requires the older version of IE6 or IE7 to update properly
you can, of course, use windows IE8 after you update
but if your OS corrupts, the first thing microsoft will tell you is to reinistall IE6

anyway, stop being a cheap bastard and buy windows 7 if you are not using it yet

edit:
btw, I bought a tenda wireless N router from microcenter for 15$ and it works fine
they were giving these away this past summer for free, but I was too lazy to go pick it up
probably it's time for you to update your router too

#1955150 lmfao... most android phones can't run flash?

Posted by potatochobit on 13 September 2011 - 01:00 PM

Im not sure if you guys read the news, but Tmobile was bought by ATT
so we can consider them an iphone network now

the other 8% are Europeans, so they dont count
just kidding, it would include things like virgin mobile and net10
which are pay for minutes, etc.

#1955083 lmfao... most android phones can't run flash?

Posted by potatochobit on 13 September 2011 - 10:19 AM

I looked at a rom forum but it seems even flashing it would not add current gen. flash support

technology does indeed move ahead quickly and the samsung intercept is lacking- but to claim a phone is outdated because it is a year old is silly
but then, this could be why sprint is last in the smartphone race, even with their unlimited data plans the phones are weak
btw, one of the top selling smart phones for 2011 - this year - is the iphone 3GS which is over two years old now

owning this intercept shows me how far behind the android OS was, but at least now they are on par or better - spec wise

anyway, someone said dolphin browser could do flash, but I downloaded dolphin HD and it doesnt seem to
I do have a custom flash 10.1 APK installed, but it was for android 2.1, doesnt seem to work in any of my web browsers on 2.2

I guess I will buy skyfire since I cannot find a similar media/browser

edit:

Haha you should of just got the iPhone then.. Lmao.

Yeah, I still have the 3GS active. But we need two phones, so this android one is temporary until the new model iphone is out.
that is why I am being cheap and getting a prepaid instead of the newest model contract android phone.

#1955054 lmfao... most android phones can't run flash?

Posted by potatochobit on 13 September 2011 - 08:37 AM

Since the iphone 5 is taking so long to release, I decided why not get something temporary in the mean time
some other family members recently got android phones and they like them

so i was at the target looking at pre-paid phones and the salesman showed me a smart phone,Virgin mobile
45$ a month, no contract - unlimited text, internet, messaging, 3G+wifi, built in media player, android market and decent talk time
man, this is a steal! my iphone bill is almost 100$ a month

- and it is a great deal, but it can't play flash!
why didn't they put this on the box?
apparently, I have last years high end model phone; it updates to android 2.2 but adobe doesn't support the previous generation processor (for whatever reason)
samsung intercept/moment ARM6

not that I need flash, my crunchyroll works fine, which is what I care about
but it would be nice to 'have' flash since I do have an android phone

people say android phones are nice since they can be modded... Ok, where is a flash mod that works? I can't find one
I guess what they mean is, "we can pirate 'official' apps..." haha

putting that aside, I have found one app that works, Skyfire browser has built in flash support
does anyone know a better way to run flash on an older android phone?
I dont mind using it, but you have to pay for a license
and I dont mind paying, but I would like something that has time controls like any standard media player, the skyfire just has play and stop

and in case you are wondering,
now that I have used both phone systems at length, the iphone OS totally blows away the android
just searching for apps in the android market is a chore

some cases have removable dust filters and some do not
a bunch of holes in a metal grate is not a filter, they are holes

as long as you are running the front two fans on your case (with filters) you do not need to worry about dust entering the top as the pressure inside the case will force the air upward and out

however, that is not an excuse to neglect regular maintenance, you will still have to blow out some dust from inside every month or so
also, puttiing your case on a floor will get dirtier much faster than setting it on a table

however, if you still prefer to close it, it will not hurt anything
