What is this card worth

05 November 2017 - 04:13 PM

Hey guys. I just picked up a system with a Gigabyte R9 270 that I am considering selling. I'm pretty sure it wasn't used for mining or anything like that.

This one:

What is are cards like this selling for today?

Super Bored. Looking for a new pc game to get into.

29 January 2016 - 07:40 PM

I am getting burnt out on BF4 and SC2 right now.

Was getting pretty interested in buying the Dayz standalone but it seems that it might be dying off already?? Are they able to get past the issues with people just killing on sight?  Just not sure where to go. Dayz kinda seems a bit too ruthless and a brutal learning curve? Game also seems a little bit hollow for things to do other than just look for loot?

I am looking for a game that is online. Any suggestions? It doesn't have to be a shooter but that seems to be what I gravitate towards. I've tried WOW but it wasn't really my thing.

Radeon Software Woes

15 January 2016 - 05:49 PM

Asus 7970 overclocked and voltage increased via Asus GPU Tweak.

The Radeon driver software has a built in overclocking utility that seems to be sticky. What I mean by this is that when I fire up GPU tweak and I up my clocks and up my voltages the radeon software grabs and remembers those clocks. So the problem with this is that when I close gpu tweak or restart my computer and don't restart gpu tweak I now have radeon running high overclocks without the necessary voltage and my system crashes if I put it under load.

How can I prevent Radeon from grabbing and remembering my overclocks from gpu tweak? Or maybe you can think of an alternate solution?

Thanks

Looking to upgrade monitor

14 December 2015 - 01:28 PM

I am currently using 2x acer 23" 1080p monitors. My video card is an ASUS 7970.

I want to make a monitor upgrade to make games look better and I also want to increase the horizontal viewing area so I can see more of the battlefield and see guys coming up from my sides. I would like to go 4k but it seems to me that in order to get a video card with enough horsepower to max out games like BF4 @ 4k it will cost way too much money. So for this reason I am looking at 1440p. I am considering going with an ultrawide monitor and maybe I can keep my 2x 23" monitors and can run eyefinity with them?

Which monitors should I be looking at? I don't know much about monitors but I think I want 144hz ??? Do I have a strong enough video card to run bf4 1440p ultrawide?

Any input would be appreciated.
