You don't think my reply was spam, do you? I was just trying to keep a light atmosphere while keeping the thread alive. I'd personally LOVE to see tips posted here with the source page. I'm hoping the tweaks I see here might help my problem that I have. Anyhow...Perhaps ther was a spam post I missed. Keep posting tweaks so I may learn more!! I tried the priority tweak. Haven't noticed an overall improvement really, but I'm hot for trying new stuff to improve my system!! No spam here...I prefer naturally cased and packaged meat products...

If you tweak the nipples on a horny woman, she'll do things that overclocked pc's never thought of! But seriously, the more people who post here, the more I learn about my system. I still haven't fixed my stupid stutter/stall/continue problem, but I'm reading about it all over the net... Remember, with PC's, you put the SOFTware into the HARDware....

B) Well, I wanted to be sure it was all covered in case someone had a question. I tried removing the video card comepletely, including the drivers. After a month of no difference, I reinstalled it. Also tried updating my Soundmax audio drivers. No avail. I cant handle this hanging anymore, and my BFH is looking handier and handier every day. I cant afford a lot of $$ for swapping out parts and drives, and since simple fixes arent working, I was hoping maybe one of you folks had heard something in your travels. Google returned a few links that I read through, but they all have the same info I saw before. It's coming full circle, now I'm beginning to see the same info over and over again. Argh, its enough to piss off the pope and turn the president of AA into a Jack Daniels sponsor!!

Bought a Compaq from Wal-mart. Loved it for a whole year with no problems or snags. Added a GeForce4 vid card (64mb) to it, no problems. Suddenly, from nowhere the whole O/S started stuttering to a stop everytime I played something with sound in it (I.E.-- Roller Coaster Tycoon, America's Army, WME9). The whole thing hangs for like 3 or 4 seconds, then stutters back to life like nothing ever happened. The sound byte is exactly where it stopped at. The video is right where the frame froze. I'm going nuts because I've tried every fix I read about HERE. I've tried switching out hardware, software, drivers, patches, upgrades, fixes, and prayers. I've tried coaxing, caressing, soothing, yelling, crying, screaming, and even a BFH... I'll post the specs as recorded by Norton System Works for your perusal. Nothing shows up in Event Viewer on this, either. It's as if the system doesn't even know what hit it. Virus scans with 4 different website online scanners AND my updated NAV produce no virii since the one that Trend Micro caught and wiped out. I know I'm not the only one having this problem, I have seen posts all over for it. I hope this isn't a repost, if it is, please forgive my ignorance.

Hi all. Been reading up in here for a few weeks now and I have decided that you guys really know your Shi....uhhh...Silicone! I have actually applied a few of the fixes I have read about here. The tip about the Trend Micro online scanner was really a plus! My NAV never picked up on a virus I had resident, but the T/M did right away! Anyhow, I was cruisin through my registry and found this tag...called PrivateHash. It doesnt point to anything obvious, but it sounds rather off-the-wall for a filename, dontcha think? Has anyone ever heard of this? I'm running a basic Compaq 5000 series w/40 gig hdd, 384mb ram, CD, CDRW, 8 gig backup hdd, and 1.5 ghz processor. Not really much good at listing my attributes, but I'm needing some help that I KNOW you all can give! I'll be posting in the proper areas for that...
