  1. :dog: The WDs probably prefer their SATA secure connect! Then use the legacy power connector like for PATA, fans, etc..!:dog: Personally, I ran out of easy access to legacy power connectors so got UV 4 pin power Y cable!
  2. :dog: I burned that "SystemRescueCD" but I can see that I am going to have to play with that penguin stuff to understand how to use it!:dog:
  3. :dog: Is that DFI Site down for everyone, or just for me?:dog:
  4. :dog: I still cannot get nForceRaid_5p34.zip from the DFI site!:dog:
  5. :dog: Are you able to download this from DFI?:dog: Doesn't work, today, for me? OK, I am able to get the driver from DFI now!
  6. :dog: BIOS properties are OK and most everything else, but COMPUTER OVERCLOCK SPD Memory Modules ONLY has information for the DIMM1 (Evaluation for my other three? CPU-Z V1.30 tells all!)
  7. I thought maybe I was the only one who had a problem with awflash; however, I was trying to do my IOSS chip and could fall back to my original!
  8. This is the quoted thread! I think I would have been able to terminate the CD session when the flash hungup! I had booted from my floppy and didn't have any control to terminate the session other than Power Off!!
  9. :shake: I managed to get up the courage:p to remove the BIOS chip and performed the required extractions and insertions; however, when I attempted to awflash (/cc /pp etc...) [awflash reported "For NF-CK804-6A61FD49C-00 with flash type of PMC Pm49FL004T LPC/FWH" -- so I was confident the IOSS chip was OK?) nothing much happened and I didn't see any flashing being performed (no progress on the bar)!] There was a warning message :tooth: about not turning power off, etc!:tooth: but what else to do? I bit the bullet and POFF, reboot with original bios and all seemed well! :dog: Tried again, and awflash worked just fine!:dog:  (It is a shame they don't include a button or switch on the metal selection plate for the RD1/ORIG switch to hook up into that CMOS clearing jumper while they were doing it!)
  10. :dog: I posted my experience recently: :dog: Didn't know that DFI (Oskar ?) is interested?
  11. :dog: I have two sticks of the ULTRA that you have and two sticks of PQI! They seem to be working just fine; however, I am currently using the auto defaults and notice that the 3/10/2005 official BIOS from DFI has decided to run them at FSB:RAM=CPU/12? It is a bit puzzling because the SPD for the ULTRA Lists 166 Mhz as 2.5 3 3 7 and 200 Mhz as 3.0 3 3 8! My PQI has SPD of 200 Mhz as 2.5 4 4 8!:dog:  I think I should be able to run them all at the ULTRAs 3.0 along with the PQIs 4 4 8 in 200 Mhz? I am expecting delivery of a BIOS Savior RD1-PMC4 and will likely update to a 6/23 version. I find those -1, -2, -3 versions a little puzzling, too! If you check out TMODS CD you will find a wonderful resource!
