  1. What are you trying to say? Yeah, I had some intial issues getting a high FSB on the Abit, but I put some time into it and was able to get some where. I have put 5x the time into the DFI and I have not gotten any good results out of it. fordf250 whats your secret? Do I have to pop in the 875-T to try it again? I haven't lost all hope, just most of it. Id really like to get some good results out of the MB. Hit me up on AIM if you have a few.
  2. Got the 875-T first becaues of the reviews and all the hype from other owners.
  3. Im right there with you LightSpeed. I think this MB is a joke. That or the combo of this MB and a 6XX. DFI needs to get a real BIOS out for this MB. I already have my vDIMM modded MB posted up for sale. Im not going to sit on my hands while DFI twiddles thier thumbs. Make a real working BIOS for this MB, and maybe some of the issues will go away.
  4. Since when did the RAM installed dictate wether or not the MB was capable of running 5:4 or 3:2. I refuse to believe that.
  5. Thats with OCZ 3200EL Plt Rev2. Same stuff that errors out in this DFI. Every review on this MB has been a good one, everyone that I spoke with that had one said that it was great. I failed to ask anyone with a 6XX, but figured that the CPU should not matter much. Guess I was wrong. Just because its an 875P does not make it any better than an 865PE. Its 97% the performance. Not only that, but at the same speeds the AS8 outperforms the 875-T. Humm, MB has a few mods. vFSB, vDroop, vDIMM, vAGP. Yea the mods help, but box stock the AS8 is faster, and scalled better. The AS8 vAGP/vNB only goes to 1.65v in the BIOS and the 875-T goes to 1.8v. I needed 1.8v on the 875-T to even get some sort of stability at 250 fsb. I can do that on the AS8 at 1.5v. Something is deffinatly wrong with these MBs.
  6. All PAT settings were disabeled. Even still CPC should work with a divider at slow speeds. Water cooling is more than over kill for an 865/875 chipset. You don't need anything fancy to hit fast speeds on these chipsets. 275 FSB should not be too much to ask from an 875P chipset. The reuslts are just pathetic from what was hyped as one of the best LGA 775 AGP/DDR MBs. Its not like I have never overclocked before. Here is identical hardware running on a ABIT AS8 rev 1.1.
  7. All the specs are in my profile. Here they are again. 875-T BETA 3/25 BIOS vDIMM modded. P4 640 OCZ 3200EL Plt TCCD or Gold VX PC4000 eVGA 6800U 490/1350 OCZ 520w PSU 3.5/5.2/12.1v The problem is this MB refuses to overclock. With the TCCD I get memtest errors before Im even close to maxing out the RAM speed. The dividers don't work on this MB. Running stock speeds with a 5:4 divider I get memtest errors and BSODs. Another thing that really erks me about this MB, is when you hold down Insert to clear the settings, it clears all of the settings. Whos idea was that? Any other MB that I have used it just clears out the OC settings.
  8. Nope, thats the only setting that needs to be changed. See what I mean here? Some people can get to 280, some have a working 5:4, what is with this MB? Why are they all not the same? Im still waiting to hear from Angry Games. I sent him a PM, but I have yet to recieve a response.
  9. I already did all of that. MB just refuses to run over 250 FSB stable with any settings, and it requires 1.8v for the NB/AGP to even do 250. I think Im going to give up on this MB. I really should not be this hard to work with a MB. Its not like I have never overclocked anything before. Using a DFI is like pulling teeth. I really don't get why everyone praises thier MBs. Maybe the AMD MBs are different, but I can say first had that their P4 MBs stink.
  10. I have an 875-T with a 640 here. Its got to be the worst set-up I have used in years. My OCZ TCCD doesn't work worth a damn in this MB. I can't get over 240 with out getting memtest errors, and this memory has been verfied good in many other 865/875 MBs. So then I modded the MB and tried out my VX 4000 which also works fine in other MBs. Pumping 3.6v though this RAM, which it loves. I get "BIOS ROM CHECKSUM ERROR......Enter Floppy and Press Enter to Restart" when I try and boot the computer with 2-2-2-8 timmings, which run fine on many other MBs. I flashed the BIOS again, thinking maybe it got scrambeled some how, but I still get the same errors. Not to mention when I try to run 5:4 or 3:2 I get memtest errors at 200 FSB and lower. Whats the deal with this guys? I spend $170 on a MB that gets schooled by a $60 Abit refurb. Something is not right here. I always hear people raving about this MB, and when I get it, its just a steaming pile of crap. Deffiantly wins worst MB ever, and worst BIOS support ever. DFI, when are you going to come out with an offical BIOS for this MB that works. Also, what the deal with the memory support on this MB? 865/875 MBs have to be the least picky MBs out there, yet you mange to stick me with this nightmare. Can someone fill me in on this, please?
  11. Just got a 640 and an 875-T. Wow, that was quite a fight to even get it up and running. Anyways, water cooling the CPU, running 1.45v I sit at 52c load. Maybe its me, but that seems really hot for a CPU like this, thats running a moderate overclock and overvoltage. (16x220 1.45v MCP600--6002-775--Heatercore) Just playing around with the CPU I hit 67c last night. Not only that but this beta BIOS really sucks, some settings wipe out the detection of my SATA drive, and thats quite annoying. Whats going on here guys, the CPU has been out for awhile now, can't you release a working offical BIOS, or do I have to continue to be a beta tester, on something that only works half assed?
