  1. It was 80 plus tax. I could have gotten this a week ago, but I wanted to pick it up in-store in case I want to return it (at this point, it's a keeper) Circuit city is the only place I've been able to find this. Circuit City - Cyborg Gaming Keyboard If you look at the picture in the right side of the top bar, you can see an idea of what batches change. All in all, the only improvements is allow you to configure profiles from the computer would be nice, and also just use RGB LEDs and make it mix and match, so you can have any color of the rainbow. Maybe they could do something like press a key, type a color code, and type a brightness.. idk. There's improvements that can be made, but damn, for a start this rocks!
  2. Yay, I can post the rest of the pictures now! The G15 has just 2 keyboard stands to adjust tilt, and the cyborg has 6, here's the different positions: Both lying flat G15 up, Cyborg back stands level 1 G15 up, Cyborg back stands level 2 G15 up, Cyborg back stands level 2, Front stands up Here's what the keyboard stands look like: Here's the auxiliary ports - notice how there's only 1 USB port (the G15 has 2) but this port has a seperate USB port at the computer, and it's not reliant on whatever power is left over from the keyboard. That, and it's got Audio as well. Here's the product label on the bottom. I thought this was called the Cyborg gaming keyboard, but apparently it's another model of the Eclipse keyboard. Here's the plugs, notice 2 USB ports - one labeled kb and one labeled ext, so you have the full power of a USB port on the keyboard. When I was taking pictures of the keyboard heights, I noticed something interesting about the wrist rest - it extends out for people like me with big hands
  3. I've been waiting for this to come to a store I could go buy it so that I could go pick it up, just in case I didn't like it. So far I'm digging it. The keys are a lot more firm than the G15, but it's pretty slick. There's no LCD like the G15 has, but it makes up with it in other ways. If you want to see this in person, it will be at Never Never LAN 3.0 next weekend I'm going to give this keyboard a test run this week and most definitely this weekend at the LAN. If you want to try it out, I'll let you have a whirl. It comes in a box! They definitely took care making the packaging, but it's almost identical to how my G15 came Apparently there's a problem with the XP Drivers with the volume indicator. Vista doesn't have a problem! The Cyborg has protective film on all of it's shiny areas to protect it during shipping Here's some close-ups of the metal keys. These aren't crome plated, or painted plastic keys.. they feel like solid METAL! (Yes, I know it's dusty.. this keyboard picks up dust like no tomorrow, though it might have been really dusty in my kitchen today) *Note: You definitelly want to click on these and go see the full size versions if you can.. it's incredible The top bar might not be a LCD display like the G15, but dammit, it's dead useful. Here's my old G15 and Cyborg side-by-side: The keyboards with their wrist rests attached Here's a comparison with the keyboards on, and brightness turned all the way up. Notice how even using read (which is a lot dimmer than blue) is a lot brighter than the G15. I tried to do pictures the different brightness levels, but my camera adjusted the exposure time so they looked identical. Here's the different colors the keyboard can be. This is one of my favorite features RED GREEN YELLOW AMBER (Orange-ish) The Cyborg's Gaming Mode is a little bit better than the G15's "gaming mode". While the G15's switch just disabled the windows key, this one disables the windows key, activates the side programmable keys, and allows you to set different parts of the keyboard different colors and brightnesses.
  4. A NVISION Website has gone up, but it appears to be geared more toward sponsors But it kind of gives you an idea of what's going to be going on
  5. I have source inside NVIDIA which has granted me access to some information about a massive LAN comming up: NVISION is going to be a Guinness world record breaking event, taking over most of the convention buildings in Downtown San Jose, California (ie, the buildings Showdown LAN 2k6, 2k7 were in, plus more) The LAN Party is going to be open 24 hours all 3 days The ESWC will hold their finals there, which is the first time in ESWC history it's having finals outside of Europe Thousands of gamers and industry professionals will be there from all over the world (game and hardware modders, overclockers, game publishers, hardware guys, etc) Lots of benefits of being in ClubSLI: Access to the ClubSLI Lounge, free drinks, etc Official Amateur Tournament with games like COD4 and others More than a just a LAN Party: NVArt Digital Art Show Talent Show Exhibition Show Floor A 3D Museum Workshops Etc. Cost: $35 before June 1 $50 after June 1 ($35 food coupon with BYOC ticket) I'll try and keep you guys updated as far as details, let me know if you have any suggestions, and I'll pass it on.
  6. I'm fighting AT&T at work. We have 1.5mbps DSL (and get around 900k usually) and because of our location, we can't get the 6mbps package, and apparently U-Verse isn't available for business, however there's a fiber node 500 feet from our main office. It's driving me nuts!
  7. Server 2003 limits access by the number of CALs you buy. Might check if you have enough CALs to allow them to access it. I bet that's what the problem is.
  8. I first bought it for the 360, and have since bought it for the PC. It's an incredible game.. and the multiplayer is only lacking in a website-side of things (got used to it with halo 3.. fun to check stats on the computer) I haven't played on the PC yet, but it'd be REALLY slick if the ranks would stick across both platforms. (I'm getting really used to my M16 with the red dot scope)
  9. The Quadfather Athlon FX-74 (2x dual-core @ 3GHz each) Asus L1N64-SLI WS 4 GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2-800 2x 150GB Raptor drives in RAID 0 2x EVGA eGeForce 8800GTX Soundblaster X-Fi Platnum 1 KW Turbo-Cool PSU Gateway 24" WS LCD I was playing the demo at 1280x900 (I think) with everything on very high, and 2x aa. It was mildly laggy even on this system. I know the beta didn't support quad-core nor SLI and I think the demo might not have either.. because both played just as bad. This was on Vista 32 however. I'm re-installing with Vista 64 today to get ready for GeForceLAN 4 and we'll see if it's any better. I had done a lot of other stuff on the system (like trying out software) that I think might have had a negative effect on gameplay.
  10. Heh.. less. I'm working on re-installing The Quadfather this afternoon.. I don't even have time to re-install my server.. but I'll work on that when I get to the LAN.
  11. I'm there. Stop by and see the Quadfather (play crysis horribly.. if the beta/demo has any indication.. I'm going to re-install it for the LAN though.) I'm in E17/E18
  12. I'll post some screenies soon of it.. The Quadfather runs it quite nicely
  13. CentOS here for me.. It's Fedora Core but a version back & It's basiclly Red Hat Enterprise Linux but without the branding/price/support I use it for my IRC/TS/VNC server.. it works wonders. It's solid as a rock.. I've had it up for 80+ days straight before a power failure took it out.. uptime right now is 44 days.
  14. Agreed.. I went from 1-2 minutes loading time in BF2142 on a 200GB WD caviar, and down (past the first initial load) to below 30 seconds loading times. (even switching maps) It pwns.
  15. I second D-Tools.. but I haven't tried it in 64-bit. I have a feeling we might be getting problems in it.
