Manjaro is a pretty good one.

This conversation reminds me of this old meme:

Didn't get to do any work on the rig this weekend because I've been super busy, but I did test sleeve one of the Noctua fans with some arctic camo paracord. Shitty cell phone picture, but I adjusted the colors so that the paracord looks the way it looks in person. CPU comes in tomorrow, at which point I'll fire it up for the first time!

Everything hooked up except for the front panel buttons and sata cable on the ssd. Half decent cable management, it'll do until I do my own sleeving and cut the wires down to my selected sizes. Looking decent. Now, to wait for the damn processor to show up! Needs more white, the sleeving will definitely help.

Wish i could afford this build. Very interested to see how this comes together.

I spent more than you did, but similarly to your build, everything I bought was at the lowest price that particular component has ever been. A similar setup would run easily over 1600, I kept my build under 1250.

Case and RAM came in today! Woohoo! Finally starting to look a bit more like a computer... Instead of a bunch of boxes, its a bunch of shit in a box. Black and white color scheme is looking nice!

So I am basically waiting for LG G3 to come out.. Will be moving from GS4

The new UI for it was leaked, check it out. It's a pretty cool looking change. I'm not going to buy it since my G2 is more than enough but I can't wait to get that sweet UI ported over!

There's a guy over on HybridZ with a 3d printer that's willing to help out members. I'll link you his profile, just tell him that Onion referred you and that you're a friend.

Remember that tablets job I got at Best Buy a month ago? I got hired at $9/hour as an occasional seasonal, meaning I get fired after the holidays. Well, I'm now part time and I get $10/hour as a tablet and computer salesman. :D Right on time, too, it'll make a big difference on Thanksgiving, I work from 5 pm to 12 am and get 1.5x pay, so it'll make a nice difference with the raise. So yeah, woohoo!

2 gallons of gas for a stranger. $7

I was driving home from school when I saw a broken down car on campus. I parked nearby and got out to help the man push his car off the road. He tells me he's run out of gas. After pushing his car away, I offer to help him get gas. He agrees. I drive him to the university police department, where we ask if they have a gas can we can borrow. They lend it to us, and I drive the guy to the gas station. He tells me he works for the school cafeteria, and had no money to put gas in his car in the morning. His direct deposit hadn't arrived on time because Monday was a holiday. When we got to the gas station, he said he was gonna go inside to pay for the gas. I knew he had no money for the gas, so I told him not to worry about it. I pumped $13 into my car, and $7 into the gas can. I drove him back to school, and we filled up his car, and he was on his way. Seeing how happy I made the guy was well worth 45 minutes of my time and $7.

#2105831 Note 2 and it's display

AT&T phones can be easily unlocked. I just went to the AT&T store and told them I was going to France for the summer and they unlocked the phone for me to use abroad. T-Mobile is the same, though I've never actually had a phone unlocked. I asked them about it once, they said that if the store can't do it for free, you can get them unlocked for about $10.

The Samsung Galaxy S II that I had before my LG G2 was like 215 ppi and 480x800 resolution. I never really noticed the low ppi. The only device where I notice it is my 10" 1280x720 tablet, and even then, its not so bad. I had a Note II as a loaner phone for 3 weeks while my S II was being replaced by T-Mobile, and I had no issue with the resolution. Yes, my new 1080x1920 LG G2 looks a lot nicer, but the 720x1280 on the Note II is plenty good. I also had a Nexus 4 as a loaner when my S II broke a second time, and I didn't like it as much as the Note. I loved the battery life of the Note II, and the size. I think the Nexus 4 is too small.

Note II camera is on par with the S II, so its a very good camera. 4G was faster than the S II, and the screen size is great for videos.

Now you get to convince people that the iPad is better than the Nexus. GG.

Seen it. It's probably the same marketing strategy as Apple - make it break easily so it costs more to repair.
