Razer Black Widow Ultimate 2014

22 December 2016 - 04:02 PM

Does anyone know how to adjust the brightness of the LEDs without using Razer Synapse? Razer Synapse just causes all sorts of issues with my system, a lot of games run very badly or not at all when it is running, and I would much rather not use it.

Bioshock The Collection

21 September 2016 - 07:35 PM

Downloaded Bioshock Remastered on release day, took about 30-40 min to download, loaded into the game, went into the graphic options and saw that there were basically none, turned the aa all the way up and my resolution changed from 2560x1080 to 1920x1080 with 1920x1080 now being the highest available option. I was a tad confused on that, reset aa back to default and the 2560x1080 res reappeared.  So I was just like eh, I'll just play on default settings then. Clicked new game selected difficulty level and was brought to a neverending loading screen. I could not force close the game, but was still able to access the start menu and restarted my pc. Verified my game cache and tried again with the same results infinite loading screen. After some reading through the community discussions it seems like a lot of people are having issues with both 1&2 Remastered. Game won't start, game crashes, save games being deleted, game randomly changing difficulty level, game randomly changing controls from keyboard/mouse to controller, flickering and other graphical issues. A vast majority of the current issues with the games are issues that should have been found and fixed before release. Blind Squirrel did a really bad job of porting the games to PC, and after this mess I highly doubt Take 2 will be using them for future work. Blind Squirrel must consist of the devs that made Big Rigs and Batman Arkham Knight for pc......

Sharing wifi with neighbors?

06 July 2016 - 07:43 AM

I have done a little searching but was not sure the best way to go about doing this.

What I want to do is share my wifi with my girlfriend who lives 4 houses down the street, she keeps going through all my data on her phone, but I don't want to have to have separate service at her house. She would be using the wifi on her phone, tablet and her smart tv she does not have a computer or laptop. I am just not quite sure what the best route to go is. Can I use a range extender? Should I use an outdoor repeater? Do I need something at her house? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

DS3 with Windows 10?

23 June 2015 - 11:39 AM

So I am trying to get my Dual Shock 3 controller to work with Windows 10 Insider Preview.

I am using the latest SCP driver 1.2.2.175. I can get the driver to install and work wired but the bluetooth does not work. Also when I restart my pc it uninstalls the driver and re installs the default one. I would like to do this without having to use Motionin Joy as their software is loaded with far too much malware. I have tried installing the drivers manually, but when I right click on the bluetooth adapter and select properties nothing happens, same goes for the PS3 controller and pretty much everything else in my devices and printers. I know that Windows 10 is not an official OS yet, but someone has had to have gotten this to work.

As a side note everything works amazing under Windows 7 and 8.1

-Edit- Seems that this is currently and issue with Windows 10 and the drivers.

-Edit again-

I got it to work and this is what I did.
I have not done a restart yet to see if this stays.
It is not recommended to leave these settings this way, I am leaving them like this for testing purposes only.
Right click my computer go to properties.
Go to advanced system settings.
Click on the hardware tab.
Open device installation settings.
Check the box that says "No, let me choose what to do."
Check the box that says "Never install driver software from Windows Update."
If checked un check the box that says "Automatically get the device app and info provided by your device manufacturer"
Locate your SCPDriver.exe right click run as administrator.
If drivers were previously installed uninstall them.
Check the box marked Force Install.
Click install and test.

I am assuming this is not good.
