i was looking at that corsair... looks nice, im torn between it and the FSP. the two gamextreme psus however i wish had 1 12v rail... if they did they would be at the top of my list ...

the middle cap with the arrow has actually ruptured (brown stuff on top) and the other two are buldging. the cap in the foreground is not yet showing symptoms though. i was suprised to see Fuhjyyu caps in there, but thats what shes got. the psu hasnt gotten hot, never ran more than slightly warm. but its also got some age on it so i say its done me and its previous owner good. i was looking at the PCP&C 610w unit, but having only an 80mm fan it looks like it would be loud. i would love to go OCZ again, but they are not single rail ... reading deeper into PSU's... i think im just gonna save and get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817104026 but for now, anyone got a reputable site i can order caps from? i think im gonna try and replace them, ive done it for motherboards, cant be much different.

lol, yeah he has a way of breaking things down so us non-physicists folks can understand what he is saying though, it sets himself apart from the rest of the physicist crowd

this is actually one of the things that intrest me... i love sci-fi (the halo books were great BTW). but if you want to know how things related to this work and could become realit, google Michio Kaku. hes a brain...

Yeah, its been a while... lol but just wanted to get some thoughts on this. I have a 450w OCZ Modstream that was a gift from a friend here, and it has been exceptional. however, and its a funny story, but its got failing caps... ran occt to get various graphs: vcore: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v206/cha...09h49-VCore.png 12v: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v206/cha...9h49-Volt12.png 3.3v: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v206/cha...09h49-Volt3.png 5v: http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v206/cha...09h49-Volt5.png I had zero symptoms to make me suspect they were failing (though i knew they were Fuhjyyu's). a friend had psu issues so i popped my psu open to take some pix to show him how they should look, and look what i got! i backed down all my clocks back to stock... just so maybe it will hold for now. my question though is, should i try replacing the caps, or should i go and buy this? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16817139004 its got good reviews from all the sites ive hit, and points out that it has "High quality japanese caps"...

yeah, my audigy 2 can record "what you hear"... i use it to record DIFM some times.

sorry to bring this back from the dead, but i just saw angrys post on the first page and had to post... angry is right, hell, i have made the same mistakes over that angry socked me for 2 years ago:tooth: (not the serious ones mind you angry ). anyways, im gonna save some thead space and not repeat what others have said. but they are all right. a bit of advice though, if you know people who are elderly, talk to them. they have more life experience than anyone else on the planet, and if you have grandparents, they can almost predect the future! me and this girl dated for about 8months, but had been friends for a while, funny thing is, good ole gramps said "you dont need to get too thick with her". he had met her once before he said that, and 8mos later, like you, for no reason we split. a week later coming home from ROTC camp she forked a guy in the seat behind me on the back of the bus out of spite. shoot man, you are probably eyeballing another chick by now
