  1. i dunno what 12v is under load.. ive reformatted .. reinstalled etc... no go... and its random reboots and blue screens. i have had some blue screens .. but see during gameplay i can get blue screens, reboots, freezes, unexpected quits w/o msg, and unexpected quits with msg... used to not be like this... only unstable playing games...so i could have sworn it was a board issue... was lookin to get ic7-g max II cuz i heard a lot great things bout em... that'd prolly fix me up to around 3.7 on my current rig right ? i mean yeah i have a generic 450w psu so it prolly is a piece.. its has 15a on 12v+ and 0.8a on 12v- ... if that even helps, and in bios the 12v rail does fluct some like .2v +/- at most... but would that be with outta doubt the main prob here? im hoping it is.. cuz if so ill get a enermax but then you all need to tell me what kind i should i get... will a 431w enermax psu suffice ? i wanna oc to like 3.7 comp. stable and id be happy .. thx in adv.
  2. runnin 12 + hrs on p95 blend would prolly pass memtest i would say.. but how does one determine if this is a board or psu issue? its not my vcard even when its not oc'd it screws... sooo...?
  3. well i do have a cheap psu.. its a 450w cheifmax that came with my case i got online.. psu probably? if so whats a good ocing psu?
  4. my rig can run 10 hrs p95 blend torture test stable, but it still automatically restarts during a game sometimes. whats going on?
  5. ive cleard the cmos manually too... so new mobo huh? sorta what i was thinking. i mean i thought a p4p800 se was aright at least to handle an lil oc. guess a ic7-g or sumthin?
  6. not even 400mhz overclocked on a 3.0c and my gay butt SATA clicks and crap and locks up in complex apps and games... i mean wtf itll run 14 hrs p95 stable 0 errors but then craps out in games .. i messed with vagp volt, mem volt, vcore, mem timings, mem dividers, eveything and its not my HDD thats bad cuz its brand new and my old IDE drive did the same thing sorta .. any ideas or suggs?
  7. i gotta sata and a ide .. i cant use raid unless theyre both sata right?
  8. goto ide config make sure its in enhanced mode or w/e ... make sure sata is chosen. and disable sata as RAID until you instal RAID drivers.
  9. would i notice hdd performance improvement if i took my sata drive and configured it to RAID 0 ? i only have one sata drive. i know if u have multiple sata's then RAID really helps but for just having one sata drive it wouldnt do anything right?
  10. well i raised my agp volts from 1.6 to 1.7 and it seems fine. someone said the agp voltage controls chipset voltage (which i already knew), and the southbridge part controls the hdd controller (which i didnt know). so i upped the volts and it seems stable now. also will my mobo support hitachi SATAII hdd? if it does ima get the 80 gb and will there be a solid noticable perf. increase from ide to sata or sata II?
  11. also i hadda p4 2.4c oc'd to 3.2 @ like 1.07 ghz bus speed with no probs with hdd. im at a 3.0c @ 3.6 w/ 960mhz right now bus speed with probs. so whats the deal ? how long are ide hdd supposed to last? and someone said a sata drive can encounter probs with oc that ide hdd dont face?
  12. are you talking about my ide hdd or if i getta sata? or for both? and yes my agp/pci is locked at 66/33 so does that make it safe? also i hadda p4 2.4c oc'd to 3.2 @ like 1.07 ghz bus speed with no probs with hdd. im at 960mhz right now bus speed with probs. so whats the deal ?
  13. so since i oc i shouldnt get a sata drive?
  14. i gotta WD 60gb 7200 rpm HDD IDE interface. im pretty knowledgable when it comes to oc and mem, but really clueless to HDD. like SATA, RAID, etc i dont know what it really is. i gotta asus p4p800 se so i think it supports them. anyways jus recently my bios hasnt been detecting my HDD when im oc'd alotta times. and im havin to reset CMOS jus to get er back up. was wondering if it was my mobo cuz i heard sum crap about p4p800 se's with their vdroops and all when ocing. or if it was my old "obsolete" IDE HDD that cant handle the oc speeds. IF ..... it is my HDD then ill getta hitachi sataII i guess... i think my mobo will support that.
