  1. So is this one enough, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA1N83U90889&cm_re=evga_750_g2-_-17-438-017-_-Product For this card, only reason I ask is because it says minimum need for the card is a 600 watt psu and I know the EVGA psue is not 750 Continuous http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125682&cm_re=gigabyte_g1_gaming-_-14-125-682-_-Product.
  2. I am about to make a new beast so to speak and really have only ever trusted PC Power and Cooling Power Supplies now that they changed their name to Fire Power, has their Quality suffered? IS say this, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA4H81E87131&cm_re=firepower-_-17-341-018-_-Product Still the best for the price or is Seasonic Corsair or another PSU Brand better now. (been a long time since I could locate that Power supply guide lol)
  3. well as I said I more concerned with the quality of the line filter, but I can spend less if it will do the job, monitor and pc maybe 400-600 watts for at least 5-10 mins
  4. having been out of the loop in pc hard ware for a long time I am looking for a AC line filter that has at least 6 minutes of battery back up. > main factor is keeping the line clean and a 3-5 year warranty, looking to spend 500 to 800 USD, suggestions?
  5. Now its time to give the EvE addiction a try.
  6. best i could find http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820220342
  7. ^^ I would get a better heat sink first before going further. I think the maximum safe load temp is around 75C, so keep load temps under that and it should be fine. Heatsink suggestions: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835207006 or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835233029 You can disable turbo boost, EIST and C1E, other CxE states, virtualization technology and set the RAM multi so it is running under it's rated speed. It is suggested to loosen ram timmings when running above rated speeds. Read some OC guides first. http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/...alem_its_limits http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/displ...erclocking.html http://www.clunk.org.uk/forums/overclockin...-beginners.html
  8. Yea im not used to seeing AMD cpus clocked that high, thats why I assumed i7. But Im sure AMD mobos have counterparts of those settings to check.
  9. Might have been true for older on board sound, but not so much anymore.. My suggestion is to listen to the onboard first, for a few days, then you can decide if a sound card is needed.
  10. Is this an i7? I don't know if you have already disabled these but its worth a shot. EIST, C1E, Virtualization technology, Turbo boost, Execute Disable Bit and C3/C6/C7 States. Turbo boost isn't normally disabled even on OCed i7's but worth a try. Can also try putting fans on the RAM and northbridge,
  11. Most onboard sound is good enough. But this otherwise: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16829156006 Or even: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16829271001
  12. This is a great fan, but expensive. 72 CFM and 14 DBA http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835191013
